i'm saying to buy a new kit of 16 gb, not getting another stick. they can be different, and that's not good for stability and ram overclocking.

it's kinda useless to just get rid of the dust, it will come down on ur mobo again and again very fast. welcome to the dust world.

burnt smell when using xmp to OC ram
crackrupcitu replied to AbdulazizAM's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
just sent it to whoever you have warranty. Explain that it kinda melts with xmp, and they should either fix it, give your money back or send a replacing one. -
i have the same ,, problem '' living in a city where you can drive a euro -2 ( european joke here hah lul ). Dust is everywhere, but i kinda got used to it, by not having any light in my personal room. You just have to live with it, and in 1-2 years to kinda clean your fans.

i do not recommend buying different sticks of ram. If ya want dual channel, buy a kit, they are the same. Do not forget that ram oc is based on chips power and stability, and if they are bought separately they can be different from one another ( one can be samsung b-die, or s-die etc ). Even the xmp can have problems, and you will be forced to manually do the timings.

just got my hand through it. if you just press backspace on your keyboard, you will notice that the 0 dissapears. hmm how about inserting some numbers in the frequency section like 4200. Basically you're inserting the values there. Be careful, the cpu voltage below is in mV not v ( milivolts) and 1v=1000 mV, so you're going to write there 1325. after you're done, go in the save section and press save and exit.

r5 3600 oc not actually working
crackrupcitu replied to crackrupcitu's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
yeah, i just made my pc almost 1 month ago. But still, almost beating the 3600xt with 20-30 points i consider it pretty good. Thanks again. I will try in the future, maybe after some updates, overclocking the fastest ccx cores with ryzen master. Have a nice day. -
r5 3600 oc not actually working
crackrupcitu replied to crackrupcitu's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
thank you for the help. I loaded the default settings in uefi and uninstalled ryzen master. I was able to go up to 4.4 ghz with smt off, average of 79c. With smt enabled i was able to get only 4.35 ghz, but with i slight problem, i got a 94c average. I don't consider it a problem since i don't use smt because most of the games i'm playing cannot use more than 2 cores or 2 threads, and the temperature is lower and i think i can achieve at least 4.55.he temperature is lower and i think i can achieve at least 4.55 with smt off. -
r5 3600 oc not actually working
crackrupcitu replied to crackrupcitu's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
i tested it in cinebench r20 and davinci resolve, and it stays locked at 3.6 ghz, only the fastest ccx are going up to 4.6 -
r5 3600 oc not actually working
crackrupcitu replied to crackrupcitu's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
bruh, my problem is that all the cores are locked to 3.6 ghz, only the fastest ccx ones are going almost up to 4.6. i can't figure it out, maybe i got a bad chip or something. -
r5 3600 oc not actually working
crackrupcitu replied to crackrupcitu's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
yeah yeah, i thought it was a voltage problem. no it isn't. i still can't go over 3.6 ghz besides the fastest ccx cores which can go up to 4.6 without any problem -
r5 3600 oc not actually working
crackrupcitu replied to crackrupcitu's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
some 650w bronze corsair yeah, even with stock and auto it still doesn't want to go over 3.6 then why is the 1.35 stock? still i was keeping it around 1.3v before trying to oc. 1.325v crashed btw, but 1.35 is again stable. and i don't think i damaged it, i was running 1.375 for like 5 minutes. my problem is that from the start when i got my cpu the other cores are locked to 3.6 -
so, tried to oc my r5 3600, which has water cooling so the temperature isn't a problem. I can go as far as 4.6 ghz on the fastest ccx, but the other ones, even the 2nd fastest, are staying locked at 3.6 ghz. I tried to increase the voltage from 1.35 to 1.375 and it crashed, dunno why, going beyond 1.375 still crashes. And now, guess what, 1.35 crashes, and only 1.331 is stable. Maybe I lost the silicone lottery, or maybe ryzen master is trash and i should try with the bios, even though i have to confirm 2-3 things every time i do something cuz yeah gigabyte. Mobo is gigabyte b450 ds3h.
