  1. I've tried both sticks on their own in another computer and it booted no problem so Im eliminating the possibility of it being a dead stick.
  2. Im having a very similar issue, I have the same mother board and am using the same ram, I previously had 16gb of 3200mhz and just purchased 16gb more of 3200mhz and corsair vengeance LPX, but when I installed the 2 new sticks I didnt even get a post screen.
  3. Both sets are 3200mhz 8gb sticks, I did have a setting in the bios that just changed the boost clock from whatever they were to 3200mhz and I didnt reset it not sure if that would chjange anything though cause they are the same speed. Im not sure if its even a detection problem though cause I didnt even get a post, screen was just black and the led on my board was yellow
  4. My motherboard only has 4 ram slots and I was trying to use all 4 of them, I have not tried one stick at a time, I figured it would boot if just one of the sticks was dead, I took out the 2 new sticks and it booted up no problem
  5. Hello, I'm having an issue and am a little confused was hoping I could get some sort of guidance. I currently have an ASUS ROG B450-F Motherboard and I am running 2 sticks of 3200mhz cl16 white vengeance lpx ram, I wanted to upgrade to 32gb as I find myself nearly using all 16gb at times so I went and purchased the exact same ram but this this time I bought the black sticks and when I installed it my pc wouldn't boot. I referred to my mobo manual and it mentioned supporting up to 16gb of memory however the website states otherwise. Is there some sort of difference between the two that is causing them to be incompatible or is my mobo just budget. I've attached a screenshot of the manual I was referring too and a link to my motherboard. Thanks in advance! *My MOBO* https://rog.asus.com/ca-en/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-model/spec
  6. I have this exact PSU however my serial number falls just before the ones that are supposedly being recalled, I've never dealt with an RMA with Gigabyte and I have heard a few negative things. Does anyone have experience with them If I were to spend my time RMA would they just send me another PSU or would I get a refund, after this I don't quite feel comfortable with a Gigabye PSU and am considering purchasing a new one from a different brand to be on the safe side.
  7. I dont think I got beyond 10 gbs while under pretty heavy load so capacity doesn't seem to be an issue. Thanks for your help!
  8. Thanks for the input! Which games do you play that benefit from the single core if you dont mind me asking. Awesome news thanks!
  9. Like the Crucial Ballistix you have is advertised on newegg "for amd"
  10. Thanks! I know this isn't really the correct thread, but I'm currently running 2 sticks of 8GB 3200mhz corsair vengeance ram, with the extra dough Ill have should I consider getting some more ram? and if so is vengeance fine? I know that Ryzens use memory
  11. Thanks for the advice! I'm not sure if this changes anything but I forgot to mention I do play games in 2650x1440. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a EVGA 3070 XC3 earlier this year and am so far loving it!
  12. Thanks for letting me know about Userbenchmark lol! You all had the same impression about that site. If I wanted to compare components where would you all suggest I go.
  13. I've been playing lots of Tarkov, definitely going to play lots of New World when that launches, I often stream to my friends on discord, I also don't want to completely block my self out from streaming on twitch as I would like to dive into that eventually.
  14. Greetings I'm looking to upgrade my CPU, Im currently running a 2600 and was looking to upgrade to a 5600x or a 5800x using the website CPU.USERBENCHMARK I learned that the 5800x is only about 6% better so it doesn't seem like its worth the extra 150$ and I could put that towards a better cooler and still have some extra money in my pocket. Im basically just looking for an opinion from someone whos more knowledgeable than I at weather the 5800x is worth the extra dough. Thanks!
  15. I was misinformed and thought I would benefit from the PCIE 4 which is why I was looking for a replacement mobo. Thank you for your insight!
  16. Thank you very much for your insight, its greatly appreciated
  17. Hello, I am looking to upgrade my mobo and cpu, currently I have a AMD 2600 with a ASUS B450-F, not sure if this changes anything but I have an NVIDIA card and not AMD. I know that as of recent AMD has been on the rise and is far more competitive with Intel as opposed to the past, I personally am more familiar with AMD cpus and chipsets and am completely clueless as to what the Intel counterparts would be so am having a hard time comparing prices between the two brands. My budget is roughly $700 CAD would be willing to go slightly over it. Any recommendations and tips would be greatly appreciated. (Also thought id add for motherboard features id like is USB Type C as my case has a port and I currently am not using it, aswell as PCIE gen 4 as I have a 3070 and a WD Black drive where I would benefit) Thanks again!
  18. Was looking around at RAM as per Spencers recommendation I currently have Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2400hz was going to upgrade to https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01EI5ZRQY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1 is this reasonable or are there better options out there
  19. Also I forgot to mention, I occasionally play VR, I bought it quite recently and am starting to like it. I assume that would be a factor
  20. https://www.newegg.ca/rosewill-glacier-series-glacier-600m-600w/p/N82E16817182340?Item=N82E16817182340 I'd be very interested in gettting the 5700XT but am just worried that due to my cpu there might be a bottle neck and as Spencer mentioned my RAM is not the fastest
  21. Currently I have a 600W Rosewill PSU, yes I have an M.2 that I put my os and main games on and then a ssd for extras
  22. Budget (including currency): 600 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: World of Warcraft and most newer titles such as call of duty Other details Currently I have an amd Ryzen 5 2600 and a MSI Armor RX 570 8GB, 16GB 2400hz Vengeance Ram looking to upgrade one of them to further improve my gaming experience while playing up and coming new games as well as the new expansion of WoW, currently when I play WoW when there is a lot going on I start to drop frames like a sack of potatoes. I run a dual monitor set up both 1080P. Was looking to upgrade CPU/GPU but not quite sure which would be in my best interest to prevent any sort of bottlenecking happening Thanks for reading in advance would really appreciate any advice!
  23. Hey! I built a pc about a year ago and my motherboard doesn’t have wifi or Bluetooth as I didn’t really care and was just trying to build a somewhat budget pc to play World of Warcraft, I’m now of course looking into other games I’ve gotten a VR headset and have lots of fun with that but anyways back to the point. I was wondering if anyone has any good solutions to adding Bluetooth as id like to be able to wirelessly connect an Xbox controller to play some games such as Star Wars The Fallen Order, wifi isn’t a big deal to me as I’m hard wired anyway just looking for Bluetooth. Thanks a million!
