  1. Open it up and get the platters and magnets out. Save the super strong magnets. Make a Tesla Turbine out of the platters. :)
  2. Personally I would go with the 840 Pro. I did a super quick reference and it looks like it is about 10 cents more per gig to get the 840 pro. Both are very capable drives and will last a very, very long time. 840 pro is $239.99 on Samsung's website. :)
  3. If you are comfortable using Linux I would recommend Ubuntu Server. If not windows home server is great especially if you are running windows machines. I would recommend going with Ubuntu Server, it is pretty easy to set up and best of all IT'S FREE! :) If you go with windows as your server OS try HOME server. It is easier to set up. I don't think it really matters which year you get, they all seem fine. Hope it helps! Let me know if you need more help. :)
  4. I know! I am on mountain time (yea didn't think you've heard of it) I am an hour ahead of them. :)
  5. GET THE SURVIVOR! Another great drive is the Corsair Flash Voyager GT. Both are super fast and reliable. :)
  6. More options/customization, different software options, if you ever turn off the computer that has the file on it and you need the file on a different computer you can't have it. :) (I hope I understood your question). Also you get bragging rights "I have a home server, what do you have." :)
  7. THANK YOU!!!! Very awesome giveaway! Thanks to Intel and Gigabyte! I hope I win! I also hope I did this right as this is my first posing to the forum! Thank you soooo much Linus and team. I appreciate all of your hard work. I have learned so much! Thanks again and I hope I win! :) :) :)
