  1. Untitled (1).mp4 I have a MacBook pro 2018 15 inch 16gb 256gb variant. I noticed a light color fade on moving(along the hinge lifting) the display on my MacBook around an year ago but everything seemed fine except for that. I did not do anything about it since apple repairs could be pretty costly. around 5 days ago another problem came up on moving the display like lifting the screen that the screen seemed to change color and looked more like an old negative picture reel. I got it inspected on a local shop and he told me that just the internal were very dirty with dust that was causing the issue and the problem is resolved. It worked just fine that day The next day I saw that the display[apple logo] didn't pop up on boot sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't while the keyboard lit up sound came and touch bar worked too. The display if came looked weird and sliced up. I again submitted it and this time to the authentic apple service center and the said they need to change the whole display panel. I am attaching pictures and videos of the boot. I think that the issue is of the ribbon display cable. Can anyone help me with this?
  2. hey! 1. We, do live in a hot climate, but since because of the lock down, i haven't moved my MacBook outside my place for more or less 5 months and both me and friend live in air conditioned rooms, in fact when this happened, the air conditioner was pretty much working and room was cold enough. 2. No, they did not even mention, what exactly is wrong with my motherboard, just damaged. 3. Both me and my friend had a compute update though, couple of days ago. 4. At the time of crash no external device was attached, except for the charger. 5. Narrating my personal experience, i guess the laptop's battery drained, i plugged in the charger, it powered up again and everything was normal and after some time, this happened. Please let me know if anyone can help me diagnose what exactly went wrong? Thank you!
  3. Okay so, I brought a MacBook in 2018, it was a 15 inch 256 GB 16gb model and it did cost me a fortune, and it's MRP Rs. 224000(around 2900-3000 USD). I basically brought it so that I could code on Xcode and stuff. So, it worked fine for almost a year and a half and now a couple of days ago, while I was watching Netflix, the screen just froze and nothing happened, not even the cursor moving, the body was not hot, the mac had no background processes running, and I kind of plugged in the battery charging like 10 mins ago. So when nothing happened, I used the power button to force shutdown the mac, and then, it never booted again. I have had no physical damages, liquid spills, or basically the damage of any kind. I took it to the service center and they told me that the motherboard is damaged, and it will cost around, Rs, 80,000(1073 USD). WTF did just happened, and I am a programmer, and it's just all gone. but the mysterious thing is, just 2 or 3 days ago, a similar thing happened with my friend(2019,15inch 256gb 16gb model), who was like 400kms away from me, we both submitted the MacBooks together and they reported similar damage. just a coincidence?
