  1. How does one set this up? Is there special software? Z490-I 32gb 3200ddr 500gb NVME
  2. Looking to do a dual 120mm radiator setup for both CPU and GPU. This will only have 1 pump. The radiators would need to be setup with one at the front and one at the rear, both being near level with the CPU. Wanted to know what might be the best loop path to take with this setup. To make things easy to understand let's name the front radiator FR and the rear radiator RR.
  3. Okay cool, BD should be taxing enough. I usually run ARMA3, ESO, or the Hunter
  4. What do you consider load?
  5. Cool thanks I was a bit worried at the 60'c temps
  6. Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 PCI-E x4 SSD, 500GB What is everyone getting for NVME temps. I average around 40'c at idle about 60'c under heavy gaming load.
  7. The videos I've enjoyed most, intellectually that is, are when you explain things like. - The difference in LCD displays - Which RAM speed is the best bang for dollar. - Does storage speed really matter The things I liked about these above topics was how LTT took the time to explain things in both technical and simple terms. It was very educational to help self builders choose the right parts. If there was a video I'd like to see, it would be. Does the type of fan matter? Noctua makes 3 models of their 120mm fans. A basic, a high flow, and a high static pressure. I'd love to see a review on what preference differences might be seen by using each of the 3 types of fans.
  8. Well either way as I'm gaining more knowledge of computer parts after watching and reading up on them, I tend to rely of hard facts and real numbers, reviews help but need to be taken with a level of error in them. Yeah RGB would look great, but after reviewing the performance of the fans and most of the heatsinks, their performance is lacking when compared to more tradition looking stuff. So for now it's still looking like the Zalman heatsink is the winner, but I am worried about the company and what kind of service I might get from them. Noctua has a very good rep when it comes to service so I might stick with them for now. As for the heatsink of choice, it's going to come down to what my height limit will end up being. As I'm constructing a custom case, this will be the final deciding factor. Thanks all for the comments, got some good ideals and more manufactures to checkout.
  9. Some good replies and ideals, thanks. Things to ponder 1. HEATSINKS, in most reviews the Noctua NH D-15 was always the winner, expect for when it went up against the Zalman CNPPS20x. If anyone has a review that shows others winning over the Noctua, I'd love to see them. 2. FANS, The Noctua NF-A15 seem to be the best fans on the market for CFM, Static pressure, and noise. Granted there are higher performing CFM fans but at the loss of noise. Either way, which ever heatsink I go with, I will post the build and numbers once done.
  10. Guess I should put down the numbers of the fans. Zalmen's fans 103.6 m3/h (61 cfm) 1.1 mmH2O Noctua's fans 140.2 m3/h (82.5 cfm) 2.08 mmH2O
  11. Okay worked on this some more, discovered something interesting with my headset. It's a Steelseries that has the ability to adjust volume between game and voice chat. "Partial Inputs", defined It's a USB wireless headset and in windows sound config gives me the options of Headset or Headphone. Now this is where it gets interesting, these two partial inputs are not equal. The normal headphone volume is 2 channels so balancing through the APO software was successful. But if I try to do it on the headset input, nope. They made this partial input a single channel only, so no balancing. This is where it becomes a head scratcher. Windows doesn't see either the of these as dual channel so no option either way allows balancing. Big thank you goes out to #The Flying Sloth for introducing me to Equalizer APO. I can at least hear my games in a closer to near stereo surround sound. Still going to play with it a bit more and going to contact my hearing doctor about ideals for the settings as well.
  12. So it seems the Zalman CNPS20x out performed the Noctua NH-D15. But after looking a bit closer to these two setups I discovered that the Zalmen fans are far inferior when it comes to m3/h (cfm) and mmH2O (static pressure) So my thoughts are what if you put the better Noctua fans on the better Zalmen heatsink. Would love if LTT did a testing of this setup.
  13. Okay tested it out, this should work. But again my headset is my limitation. SteelSeries just doesn't allow for Right/Left balancing, maybe it's because I'm using the USB wireless and not plugged in analog wise. I will need to test this further when I get my plug cable.
  14. Found it, looks like this might do it. Thanks, will let you know
  15. I'll give it another try, Equalizer APO. That's the name of the software?
