most freesync monitors are now supported by nvidia cards

no,if you set them up correctly

Okay! That's great, I'll look into these monitors. I'll look up a guide how to set it up properly too. Do you have suggestions on how to correctly set up?

i have an lg 27gl650f and i love it theres also a 1440p version the lg 27gl850

Thank you for all the suggestions! Does it matter if I have a Nvidia GPU for the freesync vs gsync?

Also, is there any downsides to having 2 monitors with different refresh rates?

Very new to this, so I really appreciate all the help!

then you can get a good expensive one as main for gaming and a cheap 60hz one for a side monitor

Any suggestions? If this is a good route to take, I can bump up my budget for the expensive one.

Preferably 2 monitors with similar aesthetics if that is possible.

why? you'll get the frame of the monitor in the middle if you want to play on both at the same time. if you don't, the second monitor doesn't need to be 144 ips gsync.

you can get a ultrawide if you want a wider monitor, as that works better than 2 monitors

Thanks for the feedback! So I plan on only using one for gaming and the other so I can have guides/monitor things while streaming.

  5. Hello everyone! Looking for a monitor with these features. I don't know if it exists or not, but if you have another suggestion without all these features let me know and I'll definitely still look into it!

I'm also looking to get 2 of these monitors (maybe a 3rd now or later, depending on the price.)

Additionally I'm looking into getting the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER BLACK GAMING. Or something similar as I'm likely going to wait for September to see the new hardware releasing, I'm just trying to get an idea on peripherals and monitors.

Take a look at the link in my signature, I've got a full guide on exactly this subject.
As for the 2020USB, don't get it, besides USB mics being a bad idea in general the 2020USB doesn't have gain controls and leads to it being very difficult to set up in a way where it's loud enough but not peaking (clipping)

Any LDC (like the 2020 pretends to be) will pick up clicky keys, I use a G15 with about the clickiest membrane keys available and no matter what mic I use they will be picked up a little bit but with a dynamic or supercardioid condenser it's not such a big issue, again, I run through all this stuff in my guide so just take a look there and let me know if you have any questions.

Okay, I'll read the guide! Do you have a suggested mic and an audio interface? I'm still a little confused about all of this haha. I am just trying to buy the right thing for me, I'm a test-before-you-buy kind of person and since I can't with this, I'm a little anxious to make the leap. I'm not looking for a super expensive mic, maybe about $150, I'm not sure if that's reasonable.

  7. Okay! Thank you guys for your input. I'll look into the pop filter and shock mount for sure. I am leaning towards the AT2020 USB version as I don't have the extra equipment.

Do you guys have clicky keys by chance? That's what I'm most worried about. I don't have a lot of background noise apart from that. I'm going to attempt to go by all of your suggestions and mind my positioning.

  8. Hey guys! I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times but I still can't seem to find a straight answer. I'm looking for a mic for streaming. I've heard good things about AT2020, but I've also read that it picks up a lot of background noise. I have a mechanical keyboard with clicky keys and I'm worried it will pick up too much noise.

Additionally XLR or USB? Pop filter and shock mount or not necessarily?

    Any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated!

  9. Budget (including currency): $1500-$2000

    Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Will be streaming, will like to use 3 monitors

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Building 100% from scratch. I'm just trying to build the best rig with the money I have. The budget above is strictly for the PC, I have a different budget for the other stuff. If anyone has suggestions on the following too, I'd greatly appreciate it!: Keyboard, Mouse, Mic, Monitor, Camera
