That's a good point, but the RX 580 and 570 still has great sales(afaik). Also wasn't RAGE mode based on AI or something? So won't it adapt to the particular card(instead of them tuning it)? Most older AMD cards do have that Auto OC feature(the one that came before RAGE). If RAGE works similarly, I don't see why it couldn't be included. For eg. hardware accelerated gpu scheduling is only supported on rx 5000 series cards now, but they plan or bringing it to Polaris and Vega too. I guess we won't know anything until an official statement is released.

I have an OEM RX 560x in my laptop, idk but AMD has great long-term product support. 4 years ago my GPU would've been worse than a GTX 1050. Now with slight OCs and an undervolt it matches and crosses a 1050Ti in games and benchmarks(dunno why this happens but it's true). -
Will the Rage mode OC feature come to Polaris GPUs like the RX 580/570/560 or is it RDNA 2 exclusive? I'm hoping that since it's a software level feature, it should be supported.

So, I'm planning to build a media PC for my home, and I have two options in mind. A Ryzen 5 3400g with the stock Vega 11 iGPU, or a Ryzen 3100 with a GT 1030(GDDR5 2GB edition). In my country these two configs cost the same(about 14000 INR). Which one should I opt for? The build will be mATX, so size isn't much of a constraint. The 3100 combo will have more net performance, but I was wondering if the increased power draw(CPU+dGPU vs APU) would be worth it. Thanks for your help!

Eh, I saw a video on Dawid does Tech stuff where he successfully flashed the BIOS on his rx 560-D and unlocked the shaders, but that was the desktop version. Not sure if this has been tried on a laptop or is even possible (I don't have much hopes anyways )

Hello, I use the ASUS TUF FX505DY with the RX560X dGPU. Unfortunately, unlike it's Acer counterpart(the AN515-43) which has 16 CUs, the Asus uses the 14 CU version of the rx 560x. I've already OCd my GPU to 1.4 Ghz stable, but to get that extra bit of performance I want to unlock those remaining shaders(896 to 1024). Is there any way I can do this? PS: I've heard BIOS flashing is a method, but I don't think laptop GPUs come with a separate BIOS.
