  1. Anyone knows when RTX 3070 will be available again? Seems like it's sold out everywhere here in the UK.
  2. Hi, planning to upgrade my GPU to sth that would nicely fit with the rest of the build as I don't plan on further upgrading anything for the next couple of years. I was thinking about getting an RTX 3070 when it's available, but not sure if my CPU and PSU will handle that. Would something like RTX 2060 Super be better here? Current specs: GTX 1660 Super Ryzen 5 3600 ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 MHz Corsair TX550M Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB NZXT H510 1440p 75Hz monitor
  3. Can I ask where did you manage to find that RTX so cheap?
  4. Hi, I've recently run out of storage on my little 500GB M.2 NVMe which is the only drive in my system. I've ordered a new 1T NVMe as a replacement as I'm planning to pass on the old 500GB to my brother who doesn't have one. I've never done it before, so what would be the best way to copy all the files? Since I have two M.2 slots in my motherboard, I think the best way would be to plug in both and transfer the files using cloning software? The main thing I'm afraid of is corrupting Windows files. Is there a safe method, or would it be wiser to do a fresh install and then copy the files manually?
  5. GTX 1660 Super, thanks, that's exactly what I was unsure about!
  6. Game support, they gave me access to the whole library of games and want me to playtest and get familiar with them. So I want to save some time on loading screens with a faster drive. Also, I like the elegance of NVMe and the fact that it doesn't clutter the build, just sits there neatly in the motherboard. 500GB+500GB NVMe was my first guess, but the manual says that by using M.2_2 my PCI-e x16 slot gets dropped to x8 speed. Not sure how it will influence GPU performance, so was wondering if cloning the drive and swapping to 1TB in M.2_1 slot would be better? I don't mind spending more if it saves performance.
  7. Hi all, I am totally new to PC building so sorry for a noob question. Recently I built my first PC with a single 500GB Kingston A2000 NVMe drive. Unfortunately I had to change jobs and the new one requires me to store way more things on my PC. I was thinking of getting 1TB Samsung 970 EVO or 1TB Kingston A2000 and replacing it in my ASUS ROG Strix B450-F motherboard in the main M.2 slot. Alternatively I can buy another 500GB Kingston A2000 NVMe and put it in the second M.2 slot, but I heard it will get in the way with my GPU performance. I don't mind spending a bit more money for more performance, just not sure which way would be better. I need speed so I'd prefer to stay with the NVMe format. Also what would be the best way to clone the drive if I were to swap to 1TB? Which software should I use?
  8. Driver reinstall solved the problem. But I'm still uberconfused about this wtf. That was multiple headphones, yes.
  9. I am so confused with this one. I turned on the computer today and everything was working just fine, then I turned on a game on Steam and the quality of sound on my headphones dropped dramatically. I thought: well, maybe something went wrong with the installation, but when I finished and went to YouTube it still sounds way worse than usual! Everything's so thin, like from a cardboard box. I tried using both Bluetooth and wires headphones and the effect is the same. Tried restarting. What can I do and why it has changed?
  10. Thank you for the answer! That's what my gut feeling was, just wanted to be sure. A follow up question: does it work with any kind of wired audio, or just the audio/usb cables plugged directly to the motherboard? For example, will it work with front panel audio/usb port?
  11. I am completely oblivious how it works, so sorry if the question is stupid! I've recently bought ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F motherboard with S1220A audio codec and I'm looking for headphones now. Normally I'd go with Bluetooth 5.0, cause I love the freedom it gives (like going to the kitchen to brew a fresh coffee with the music on), but I was wondering if I'll still get the benefit of my audio codec on them? Will the S1220A in any way influence the BT headphones or do I have to plug them into the motherboard? More info on the codec below. ROG SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC S1220A: - Dual OP Amplifiers - Impedance sense for front and rear headphone outputs - Supports : Jack-detection, Multi-streaming, Front Panel Jack-retasking - High quality 120 dB SNR stereo playback output and 113 dB SNR recording input - SupremeFX Shielding Technology - Supports up to 32-Bit/192kHz playback *5 - Optical S/PDIF out port(s) at back panel - Sonic Radar III, Sonic Studio III + Sonic Studio Link
  12. Hi, never bought these before and got no idea what I'm doing, any help much appreciated. Should I buy something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B085FXTQN6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A192LWQ3S1ZXZH&psc=1 Or would it be safer to expand the budget for this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SPCL2FZ?psc=1&th=1&linkCode=gs2&tag=techloungeu02-21 I've got ASUS ROG Strix B450-F motherboard and Technicolor TG589VAC router running on 5GHz.
  13. I'd go with MSI B450 Tomahawk, but I've heard Strix B-450 has a better audio chipset and lan port. Watching films and listening to music on my headphones is something I do more often than gaming. I'm gonna give a stock cooler a shot then! Especially since I don't plan on overclocking my CPU. Also, I bought NZXT H510 for the build, so it looks like this now. Was thinking about getting 2x12mm front intake fans instead of a new cooler then.
