Finished my new build about a month ago with almost no issues (well, aside from the normal snags here and there), the PC has been running fine, playing games, doing office work, no problems whatsoever. Then suddenly, as I'm chatting on discord my screen goes black and the computer crashes. I go to the back and turn it off, but as I try to restart it I notice it won't even POST. It seems to get through the first bit of the boot, then gets stuck on the VGA light and refuses to move after that. I've tried almost everything I could think of: took out the CMOS battery, reseated the GPU, booted with each individual stick of RAM, unplugged and replugged all of my cables, and even booted with a completely different GPU (an old GTX 770), all to no avail. When I tried to troubleshoot my GPU by slotting it into my old machine, everything worked fine; the GPU booted with no problems, so it seems that my new GPU didn't just suddenly brick itself (thank God).
I'm flat out of ideas and am starting to suspect that the only option left is that I have a faulty motherboard.
