I just completed my first hardcore build... without any input or help... I was inspired by Linus, Bitwit and jayztwocents..
The following was the specs (not overclocked manually)...
NZXT 510 Horde Special Edition case (728 of 1000 made)
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor
Cooler Master MASTERAIR MA620M 57.3 CFM CPU Cooler
Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
Gigabyte AORUS 1 TB PCI-E NVME Solid State Drive
Crucial BX500 2 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB ROG Strix Gaming OC Video Card
Corsair RM (2019) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
1 x NZXT AER RGB 120 Fan, 3 x NXT AER RGB 140 Fans
NZXT Hue+ Lighting Control
Full set of Cablemod Red/Black custom cables.
I did have some issues
can't control the lighting with the NZXT RGB AND FAN CONTROLLER that I have...fans work, rgb does not, have got a hue+ on order now to hopefully help *crosses fingers*
i cant fit 1 of the 140mm fans on the top of the case as exhaust due to the motherboard heatsinks on what I think is the vram (someone will have to corect me)
I had to dust off a old external dvd burner to access the install discs for the RTX 2080 ti and motherboard (was too eager to get it going rather than download what I needed individually and port each program/util over on usb).
whilst the MASTERAIR fits the case, there is only MM to spare between the top of the towers on the cooler and the tempered glass side panel.
I've attached some pictures of the build from various points in the build, and screens of the CINEBENCH scores for multi and single core runs, I'm eager to hear what your thoughts are, and if you have any suggestions of what to do , to improve it..
