  3. Yeah water coolers have chances of failure. Remember this is liquid. The only way an air cooler can fail is a fan and that’s a $10 replacement. Once a watercooler fails though... yikes
  4. Hey guys, I slapped together a x299 PC today. Everything was working great until I saw that there was only 32GB of ram hooked up in my machine. The motherboard and software detects 4 slots being used, but everywhere it said “32GB” instead of the proper 64. I decided to reseat the ram, and got error code 55. Ever since I’ve been trying different configurations and it’s always error code 55. Tried clearing cmos but no luck

    Help?

not really. you can save some money by going amd and selling your old board and cpu though.
  6. did not. Pain to remove both hybrid cards but it is what it is. I'll clear cmos and try again with igpu
  7. nothing is on the GPU pins? Try a different motherboard slot
  8. The beep code has to do with your video card. Try to remount/reseat your video card

    Help?

Yeah the 6700 is struggling, 16GB ram is enough to stream. Think of upgrading the 6700.
  10. So I have this Z270 Prime-A series board. Came from a guy that owned a huge BTC thing (around 40 1070s, 20 1080s, 50 1060(6gb) 50 RX 580 cards etc) that died of OD. Never really thought much of it until I tested it today. It only boots with that 4GB crucial stick (2133, 1.2V CL15). I tried to swap the ram with 4 sticks of G.Skill 16GB 3200 CL16 (F4-3200C16D-32GTZR) ram. No boot. Proceed to test each slot, no boot. Ram isn't faulty by any means. I proceeded to flash bios to latest version, (I assumed he had some custom bios on there), and Tried again. To my dissappointment, still the same thing. Have tried all 4 sticks in different slots, have tried 1 stick 1 slot at a time, still no boot. Even memOK doesn't help. Ram is compatible according to the ASUS website. I get the yellow DRam light upon bootup when I try the G.Skill. Just stays there. No post. Specs: Intel Pentium G4400 4GB Crucial 2400 EVGA 1070 Hybrid cards in SLI Aorus 360mm aio 1000G3 PSU
  11. im guessing steam client at this point, just wait it out
  12. are you planning on using the two monitors as an ultrawide or just on extended display?
  13. judging by the other games you listed, I think its just optimized poorly, not hardware related so I don't know why you want to switch
  14. use crystaldiskinfo to check if your drive is dying
  15. After an hour of poking and prodding, I’ve done my best to bend all the pins back to original cond. are there going to be problems or do the pins look good @Eighjan
  16. The guy sold it without a cpu socket cover ): these pins seem bent hopefully a needle will do
  17. Yeah none of it worked. I double checked and I see what I think are bent Pins on the board , any fix for those or is it a lost cause
  18. Images specs: i7-8700k Z390-Gaming pro carbon 64Gb tridentZ aorus 360mm aio sandisk 240 gb ssd (2) no GPU, using onboard for now Issue: when I power on the system, the EZdebug led immediately flashes to cpu, and stays there the whole time. I don’t know what’s wrong, i don’t get a boot onto a monitor. If someone could help that would be great thanks. (8700k & board were bought used and I didn’t test them)
  19. ah okay, ill live with it I got a mass discount on my chip anyway
  20. but I've seen 2700x do 4 sticks 3200 before, did I just get a bad chip?
  21. I was thinking of going to a crosshair 6 instead of my B450-f so if I did that, you think 3200 would run?
