  1. Ok, I will try and find a setup that works and set it in BIOS. Probably have to wait for summer temperatures, to see how it performs. Thanks, once again Kilrah!
  2. I attached the monitor from the 3090 to one of the 2080tis and that did not have an effect either. But now I attached it to the other 2080ti and that WORKED! Thank you Kilrah! So I probably was in BIOS when I smashed the DEL key, but I did not notice because the screen was black and that prevented Windows from booting. Just increased the RAM from 2400 to 3000 MHz. That worked as well. Now the only problem left is the fan speed. Is there something I have to adjust in BIOS? I want to control the fans with AORUS SIV like I did before, but as you can see in the screenshot, the actual RPM (left) does not correspond with the set up RPM from the curve... Is the software overwriting the settings in BIOS? I can set curves there as well. P.S.: Removing a card would have been a pain
  3. Yes, it stays black unfortunately. I also created one of these shortcuts with /r /fm and that did not work either. I usually google at least 6 hours before I ask in a forum. I really don't know what to do anymore. Thanks
  4. Thanks for you reply. I tried using QFlash Plus from Gigabyte with an instruction video from youtube. But it does not do anything. Nothing shows up. Display stays black. Black unitl eventually Windows Login shows up after force restart. No Aorus logo or anything – just black. That's what I dont understand. Usually there is this logo with the line beneath to press F2 or DEL. But it's not there. My motherboard has a BIOS_SW switch to run a second (backup) Bios, but this did not have an effect either. I'm super desperated...
  5. Hello, I cannot access my computers BIOS anymore. I tried to update via the "@bios Update from server" software from Gigabye. I think it worked and it was on latest version F5. But I absolutely can not get into the BIOS screen. I tried every solution I could find on Google. Reset CMOS via button and jumper, unplugging, turn off fast boot, cabled USB Keyboard in first slot, etc. When I turn on the computer the screen stays black, fans and leds are running. It stays like that until I hit the "force restart" button on my computer. It then takes very long to boot and I have to press enter or any other button, so the windows login screen eventually appears. I now changed back to BIOS version F3, but the problems stayed. Originally I wanted to check my RAM frequency. I have DDR4-3000 RAM, but it only shows a frequency of 1197 MHz. It also messed up my fans calibration. I always used Aorus System Information Viewer SIV in Advanced Slope Mode to control fan speed and it worked flawlessly. But now the fans spin a lot faster than before. I set it on 30% which should equal 734 rpm, but they are spinning at 1080 rpm. Same for the watercooling pump. I can't get the system silent anymore, like it was before. Can you please help me? Thank you! My System: – Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme AMD X399 So.TR4 – 6 x 16GB (1x 16384MB) Crucial Ballistix Sport LT Dual Rank grau DDR4-3000 DIMM CL16-18-18 – AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X – 2 x MSI 2080ti – 1 x Asus 3090 EKBW – Corsair AX1600i PSU – SAMSUNG NVMe SSD 970 Evo – Custom Watercooling from Corsair – Windows 10
  6. Unfortunately the AIO tubing is to short to mount it directly to the front fans. I had it in a similar way for a few months. The GPUs were a bit cooler, but that way the CPU cooler ramped up its rpms because of the radiators hot air, which made the system louder... In the meantime I informed myself more about the custom watercooling stuff and I came across EKWB, which seems to be a good manufacturer as well. Costwise it's similar. What do you recommend? Thanks
  7. Hi, I built my workstation last year with the following cooling-relevant components: Fractal Design Define R6 with 3 120mm Noctua fans in the front and 1 140mm Noctua fan in the back Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme AMD X399 2 x MSI 2080ti Sea Hawk (AIO Cooler) AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X with Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 1200 Watt Corsair Professional Series HX1200i I work as a 3D artist, rendering with c4d Octane, using full GPU power – sometimes for several days. The CPU does not get too much load. Currently I'm not very happy with the system I built. As you see with the Noctua fans, I tried all I can to make the system as quiet as possible, but the noise under load still bothers me. I played around with the fan curves etc. but it's still loud. (I'm using an iMac Pro as my second machine and I love it's silence while working.) I attached two photos of my current setup – maybe you have any tips how to improve it without going the custom watercooling way. Both AIO coolers push/suck air out of the case. I once had them mounted parallely behind the three front fans – but that way the CPU cooler received all the warm air and ramped up its rpm. Both GPUs run between 65 and 72 °C right now with the AIOs at 70% and the front fans at 90%. ________________ Later this year I want to add a third GPU (3080ti). Because of that and the noise problem I want to invest in a custom watercooling. I came across the Corsair configurator, which made the process very easy... Can you recommend the Hydro X system (confguration attached)? What alternatives would you recommend? No need for RGB or fancy looks. At the moment I'm trying to understand how multiple GPUs get cooled... Won't the second GPU get the hot water from the first GPU? Can you hook up each GPU to a separate radiator to give it fresh, cool water? Can I use the 120mm Noctua NF-S12A PWM fans on the radiators? Corsair recommends two 360mm radiators (30mm thick) – can I use the thicker ones? Are they quieter and will they fit in my case? Thanks for your help! :-)
