  1. I overclocked my 3800x to 4.475 GHz at 1.35v. This is considered winning the lottery which is less likely with the 3700x. I couldn't get anything stable on the 3700x past 4.2ghz all core.
  2. This is actually normal behaviour for 3000 series chips. I had a 3700x and now a 3800x and both behaved the same. Idling it will ramp up quickly to 1.47 volts but under full load it hovers around 1.28v. Install latest Bios and chipset drivers and use ryzen balanced power plan.
  3. I had the stock cooler and it's normal. The fan curve has a setting for zero which gets triggered easily on and off because of the temperatures. Adjust the fan curve and get rid of any settings for a zero speed and it should stop doing it. It got really annoying.
  4. Sounds like a bottleneck. Your CPU is over compensating because your GPU can't handle 1440p gaming. Upgrade your GPU.
  5. I recently built a computer for the first one in 20 years and this issue happened on the first boot. I ended up troubleshooting and found it was the graphics card and a driver's issue. I got a cheap $20 GPU simply to get into windows and then update everything and install new drivers. Worked after that.
