  1. I have always loved projectors. My best fried growing up had one in his house and I never had any complaints. Especially awesome for movies! I would love one
  2. Techquickie being an educational channel i just wanted to make sure they where getting there facts right.
  3. ISO or "International Organization for Standardization" was founded in England, meaning the acronym would be IOS, no translation needed. The "International Standards Organization" dose not exist. I highly recommend you actually do some research of your own before you come here and argue about something you actually know nothing about.
  4. If you reed the about section on there website you will get all the information about the organizations name.
  5. If you google "International Standards Organization" you will end up with the same search results for "International Organization for Standardization." Its a common mistake among people who haven't looked into the history of ISO. Also saying ( I-S-O ) would technically be correct if it was an acronym, but its not. Its a name that just so happens to be in all caps. Im not forcing you to say it that way, im just stating what the correct pronunciation actually is.
  6. Hey guys, I just watched the Techquickie video about camera ISO that went up last week and noticed a mistake. Im not the only one who has noticed it for there is lots of talk about it in the comments, but I thought I would bring it up here so it hopefully gets some traction and gets corrected. Early in the video Brandon states that ISO stands for "International Standards Organization," which is incorrect. A quick Google search for ISO or a visit to their web page (link: http://www.iso.org/iso/home.html ) where it states "We're ISO, the International Organization for Standardization." (IOS for those keeping track) ISO is a name for the "International Organization for Standardization" that is derived from the Greek isos, meaning equal. That was done because "International Organization for Standardization" would have a different acronym in different languages. And being an international body, that wouldn't work out that well. At that ISO is NOT pronounced by spelling out the letters ( I-S-O ) but rather pronounced like ( eye-so ). I may as well also mention that the misinformation in the video has been noticed by a few of the highest ranked photography youtubers, one of which posted a more in depth video about ISO, not as a response, but actually out of pure coincidence a couple days after the Techquickie video went up. They actually had no idea that the Techquickie video existed until people told them about it. Also they had been talking about their ISO video being in the making for a few months prior. At that if any of you want to know more information about camera ISO please go check out their video here: Anyway, I hope I cleared that up. Hopefully I didn't come off as arrogant or anything. Just wanted to make sure the video was teaching the correct information. Cheers guys, have a good night!
  7. K guys, let me re-preface this. This is a PSA. Be careful who is using google on your machine. It may just tell your special someone what you got them this holiday season! And beyond!
  8. @Enderman, im aware, I just was not aware it went quite this far. Also the fact that Google is basically making public not only your search results, but what you are doing on the websites themselves.
  9. Hey guys. Logout of your google accounts on family computers if you are making purchases there. "Googleing" related words to your online purchases will display a little "recently purchased" box in the search results. The attached example image is of my own purchase and how I found out about this. Also because of this I am now realizing how much info google is getting from "us." This purchase was made on the Bestbuy.ca website on the Firefox browser. How dose google know I bought this?
  10. Hey man thanks for the comment. Just to clear something up quickly, I believe this is a Star Citizen general thread. But that aside I would like to say I am actively looking to make this an affiliate of the UOLTT conglomerate. Cheers
  11. Hey guys thanks for the suggestions. Would anyone of you know who/where I should go to get this "officially" recognized as a affiliate/wing of UOLTT? I don't feel just saying that the "Alliance to Restore the Republic" is a part of UOLTT out of thin air is right, if that makes sense. Also as many of you have pointed out my propaganda and taglines are not the greatest. I will have to rewrite them and once again any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. Once again thanks for the help and patience. Literature was never a strong suit of mine and even as excited as I am about the future and possibilities of this org/alliance, writing about it is hard. But, I am here to fight for every inch to make it as successful as possible. Thank you!
  12. I would like to think Chris Roberts has known people would make anti UEE org's, and even if he didn't he wont let them breake the game. (I believe)
  13. Affiliate/Subsidiary of UOLTT is not out of the question. What I really wanted was a more focused org if that makes sence. And as much as I named it with star wars in mind it really is open in both ways, we are in the SC universe after all, not the star wars one. If you have any ideas please send them my way!
  14. Hey guys. Im here to offer an alternative org for those who might be interested. It is the "Alliance to Restore the Republic" also known as the "Rebel Alliance." Yep, we're going full Star Wars fanfare here. And it sure as heck helps that the UEE is an Empire! Basically I am here to offer an alternative organization for the people who are looking for something a little different than what the UOLTT is currently offering. Our main goal is to bring an end to the UEE. We are not criminals or guns for higher, but outside of that anyone is welcome. The big thing for us is going to be RAIDS on UEE convoys and even some of those pesky destroyer class capital ships, but at the end of the day any of the other professions are welcome to bring some extra money into the org. I'm more of a shoot first ask questions latter type, so i'm looking to round out the command of the org with some people who have a different mind set then myself. Namely of the top of my head people to make propaganda and community managers. Many decisions do still have to be made like communication software and "raid nights" but those decisions will be made at a later date once we get the organization rolling. If you are interested in joining look us up in the org page on the Star Citizen website ( Alliance to Restore the Republic (Rebel Alliance) )or just click here! ( https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/ATRTR) And for those wondering I have basically just started this org right before posting here so I know it is small at the moment. Also please excuse me if it takes time for me to accept you into the org for I am moderating it by myself at the moment! I am also hoping we can somehow keep a community link to the UOLTT as such to be able to participate in many community events. Thanks, and I hope to see you in the verse!
  15. I have not used many fans, but my own personal experience has me replacing my corsair fan on my H80i with a Silverstone Air Penetrator
