  1. yeah that's what's weird it only happens with the backports and only usb type A for some reason, if I would troubleshooted its like all usbs are connected to a single bus and its bottlenecking when used, I've read online that it might have something to do with utilizing all the ports on the back, but I'm not sure if that's a suitable description.
  2. I have BIOS updates waiting for me but I'm skeptical about them since Lenovo's BIOS updates always carry issues with them do you have a stable BIOS update for the L5P. As you said I don't hear the disconnect and reconnect sound, it only looks like it since it is instantly and now that you mention it I think almost most of the times when I move the mouse vigorously this occurs, so ill have to check the polling rate.
  3. No there's no specific time but I mainly notice it when gaming since the mouse starts to lag while rotating and its mind wrecking, I already tried to update/repair all drivers and chipsets, as I mentioned the issue is like the usbs are disconnecting instantly and reconnecting, I'm not sure if this is a pattern but maybe when i hover my mouse to much like use it too much.
  4. I have my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with R7 5800H/16GB/3070, I bought it a month ago and there's an issue with my USB/A slots in the back all three of them I'm using one form wireless mouse another for a mechanical keyboard and the third for USB drive, but while gaming sometimes the mouse lags or something like stutters, its like its disconnecting and connecting instantly. I can find a reason why but the only solution is to move it to the side slot and there it works as usual , ive observed the same issue with my Mechanical keyboard but the usb drive works normally, Anyone has the same issue or heard of this thing?
  5. if i turned off the hybrid mode the AMD graphics is disabled and only the 3070 is available This is what I tried till now: - setting the integrated GPU as default in the Nvidia Panel - disabling hybrid mode (that caused the AMD graphics to disable) so it didn't do anything. - set the refresh rate to 60 Hz. - repair/reinstall both graphics drivers. - going in and out with Balance/performance and quiet modes. - stopping all services like icue and Nvidia LS ..etc. but nothing seems to work I'm thinking its either windows 11's fault or the BIOS or something that I'm missing
  6. I got a new Lenovo legion 5 pro with R7 5800H/16GB stock ram/ RTX 3070 with windows 11 Pro but after trying with multiple settings it still doesn't hold much on battery, I read that it might be related to fan and BIOS version currently I have the GKCN40WW but is there a more stable one? my fans go on and off all the time even on battery so it might have to do something with the power consumption. as for the current settings in vantage it has -Network Boost ON -Hybrid Mode ON -Backlight OFF - Refresh rate default 165 Hz - Conservation Mode ON with all of these settings on Quiet mode or Balance mode with 60% it gets around 1:30 to 2 hours tops with only web browsing or even on idle sometimes, is there another things I should do? the Hardware Monitor shows these results with only 2 tabs in chrome and I'm seeing the GPU high power consumption even with Hybrid mode or is that normal for a 3070?
  7. yes the screen and battery size is the same, I think Ryzen is better in term of battery consumption than intel, an extra ram is around 50$ tops so that would reduce the difference to 200$, I'm not so sure since I don't want to get something and regret that I didn't got the other one in terms of GPU, I have other options but I'm liking the legion 5 pro for its aluminum chassis and sturdy hinges. I got other alternatives like: - MSI GE76 RAIDER i7 11800H/16GB/ RTX 3060 -Asus ROG STRIX G513QM R9 5900HX/16GB/RTX 3060 - Legion 5 17" R7 5800H/16 GB/ RTX 3060 that legion 5 pro with 3070 is only the only thing with a 200$ difference than those mentioned above.
  8. I'm in dilemma is it worth spending 250 $ extra and get a 3070 laptop rather than a 3060, the configuration is quite the same in my point of comparison - Lenovo Legion 5 Pro i7 11800H/8 GB Ram ( could buy an extra 8 Stick)/ Rtx 3060 (~115W) - Lenovo Legion 5 Pro R7 5800H/16 GB Ram/ Rtx 3070 (~115w) I'm not a heavy gamer I game like 2 hours a day max (not everyday), Games like (Apex Legends, Warzone, Forza Horizon 5), is it worth spending the extra cash?
  9. Which of these laptops is better, I know that they are gaming laptops but they have better performance for their price range and these are the options availble at the meantime. - Acer Swift X 14Sfx Ryzen 7 5700U-16GB - MSI Crosshair 15 A11UEK-205 i7-11800H-16GB - DELL G15 GAMING G15RE R5 5600H-16GB I'm searching in terms of power and quality for this range.

  13. I do Network and system engineering and I do a lot of testing so i need something not to heavy for pack and go to a site, other than i work a lot with virtualization hence the core and ram, as for battery is just for lightweight work like emails, documents ..etc.
