Story: it's a passed down pc no one wants. Parts: mobo MSI H81M-P33, 4GB RAM, stock cooling and Intel Pentium G3250 CPU. Should I bother getting any better CPU and more RAM? This will not be anything big - maybe NAS, home server or home security at best. This will not be a main work PC. I just want to save a perfectly fine and working computer from being tossed into landfill or add cheap parts and flip it. Thanks!

can my 500 watt power supply support a rtx 3060
keik replied to PoptartKing02's topic in Graphics Cards
Yeah, and 1660 TI would run on 350W, I got 6600XT and am on 700W psu having 100W of room. Like I said, for 3060 I'd go for 700-1000W psu -

1) At best minor stuttering, freezes, glitches, crashes, BSODs and boot up problems. 2) At worst damage to psu, ram, mobo and gpu (been there). Things listed in 1) may happen after few weeks of seemingly normal performance, but since you want to just dive into demanding gaming your psu will have to work under full load and still will not meet minimal requirements. In my, budget and tested, opinion it is far better to buy cheaper but more powerful psu (ie: 700-1000W) and have plenty of room and utilize unit at 60% then having high end one and barely having any room, ie recommended 550W psu. I'd totally go for 700W or bigger unit. -
Well it's distributed under "Hardcore TANO*C" logo :d good starting point if you like electronics with harder kicks. Some oldschool touhou remixes were done by DJs who now run and sell their track under TANO*C or even SONY and other major companies

I drank mostly tea today but will switch to mineral water now. Ate nice meals, thank you. Talked about feeling with my friends. Had chores outside, decided to go on foot and had moderate to high paced tempo. Not sure if did something I love but did chat a little with my friends and it sure lifted my mood. Also, your post reminded me of this

Japanese techno with weirdly awesome demo scene flavor.

Might be busted capacitor in power supply. Do you have access to another PSU to check if the problem is there as well?

You can try using those large mouse pads for gamers or set alarm clock to get proper breaks every 45-60 minutes or more frequent for starters .

Hi people! Like in the tittle, where to start with 3D modeling? I've played a little with blender but it didn't click with me. I want to create, sculpt or remix assets freely preferable to the point of being able to later print or use those in animations or games. Sculpting and modeling from scratch is my main goal with low poly and texturing as a side. 4-16 hours per week is my starting point for now but it all depends on many factors. I'm used to photoshop layout and key shortcuts. Here are some examples of what I would really love to be able to create within a year of learning from scratch:

Looking for Intel CPU+MOBO with integrated GPU
keik posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi guys! I'm looking for hardware specified in the tittle. It would be used by my father for general daily pursposes like youtube, mailing, reading news. Older generation of hardware is more then ok since concurrent 6 tabs in a browser is heaviest load expected. Integrated GPU is just to skip any additional fans as my father have damaged hearing and fan humming/noise is very irritating for him. I got RAM, PSU, case and everything else, just looking for tips on CPU, motherboard (with integrated graphics) and eventually, some passive GPU for boosting media playback. -
People do praise Noctua in general. Noctua NH-U14S could work or said Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4 135 mm or Slim series. Edit: unless your pc is near ceiling, any position giving enough ventilation on sides (roughly 20-30 cm) is ok.

Water cooling just moves heat outside, if the ambience temperature is high, you won't get great performance. For the answer, I got myself SilentiumPC cooler, but it's rather regional company here so may be hard to get in UK. Many people I know praise Be quit! coolers so if IT nerds say it's good, it must be overkill : P Edit: also what's your case?

I'm very interested what kind of monopoly Apple does have - check out how Samsung or Mitsubishi are seriously tied between countries, governments and citizens.
