  1. Hey everyone! So I'm having a few issues with my gpu not being detected anymore. Little back story, I had some previous issues with this rig a few years ago with boot cycling and not going to post, cpu overheating despite the temperature ranges being normal and a 00 qcode on the motherboard so I retired the pc. Now I'm looking to fix some things to see if I can gift it to a friend, I've managed to fix many of the issues but the one that's stumped me is... The gpu not being recognised by the bios, not having display through put, not being recognised by the device manager but the fans ARE spinning. It's the same card I used many years ago, so there was no compatibility issues to speak of. The gpu still receives power just fine as the fans are spinning full throttle. Here's a list of things I've tried (unsuccessfully) so far; -Changing the gpu output from auto to pcie only (as I still have on board graphics) -updating the bios -replacing the cmos and pressing the mem-ok button -changing pcie slots -cleaning both the slot and the card with isopropyl alcohol But I'm still not having an success. I'm thinking it's a dead card, so the next step I'm gonna try is testing a spare gpu to see if it's the pcie slot or the card but I'll have to wait a little while before I can test it. Does anyone have any ideas that I could try? Rig: Cpu: Intel i4770k Mobo: Asus maximus vi formula Gpu: evga Nvidia gtx 780ti And I have the corsair ax1200i psu Monitor also works fine as the onboard graphics work just fine too. Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
