  1. Thanks for Reply! Trying to use that QVL list now but its being a bit laggy. Thats pretty nutty if it was the ram! For me though Ive had this board and ram together now sense the release of this board. Havent changed around any hardware lately besides cleaning out PC nd stuff. Was on my was now to Bestbuy think I might grab the Motherboard unless someone can suggest something else. Will check the ram list too. But also check that my usb flash drive isnt busted and last before I open the new MB see if my brother will let me use his 16gb ram in my pc to test. i think the MB is returnable to Bestbuy hopefully. Let me know if any other ideas thanks
  2. Hey LTT fam! Really need some help, I've tried just about everything I can think to do myself and also after looking for other posts with similar issue. First started to notice a issue with my PC id say about a month ago. It would randomly freeze on me at different times, especially when idle. Sometimes even requiring me to have a video playing or it would freeze. I suspected it was a NVME drive issue, or something wrong with one of the software's I had running(ICUE/NZXT/LianLi). Got that to finally work after I disabled Windows Automatic Restart on System Failure feature. But I think most importantly upgrading my Lian Li software to a much newer version. But now to the current problem. Last night I went to turn off my PC and forgot to save a file so it made me go back, after I saved them and continued the shutdown, but instead it froze while turning off and it forced me to do it manual. I then booted it up right away to make sure nothing was wrong. Well to my surprise it kept freezing while trying to boot into Windows. This has been where I've been pretty much stuck at sense yesterday have been trying to many different method online but nothing. I tried with my flash drive to launch up Windows install tool, Hirens Boot tool + other, and lastly Linux Ubuntu. Most the time it would freeze within secs of going past bios. But something it would last until the Windows install page or Ubuntu start page and just freeze before I can click anything more. Here's a list of some thing's of tried- Disconnected anything extra connected to my PC. Removed my main Samsung NVME that had Windows on it from the PC. Made sure to BIOS ran fine which it does Enabled/disabled UEFI / CSM Mode in Bios Made sure everything was plugged in okay. Reseated Ram/ put them in the opposite slots. Checks for any lights on the Motherboard and none. Lastly I have used cleared my CMOS by touching the two pins. After touching the two pins and launching up the PC got all the way to Windows install and then froze again. One last thing I wanted to mention was that lately my PC has had multiple instances where it turned off because of the power cutting out in my room. Which I though may have damaged something. I'm starting to think this might be a hardware issue with my Motherboard/Ram/CPU/RAM. I don't have any extras of those laying around. But was thinking to run up to BestBuy tonight and grab a new USB flash drive to make sure that's not a issue and then also a new x570 motherboard maybe the TUF, or a B550. Thanks for the help, hopefully its a simple enough fix! My current setup- x570 MSI Tomahawk, 3080 EVGA FTW3, 500gb Samsung 990 Evo Plus, 500gb WD Blue NVME, Samsung 860 Evo ssd 500gb. 32gb Gskill 3600, AMD 5900x, NZXT Z73, Corsair RMx 850, Corsair QL/Lian Li fans
  3. Gotcha thanks alot for that, So kind of confused so after you plugged the fans into a pwm fan hub all pump noise/fan noise was gone? Yea I also really like the EK-DRGB but the 360 version but its sold out everywhere, I have heard issues of it leaking though. Only other one I'd consider is the Lian Li Galahead Silver 360 buts its also sold out everywhere. I think I may just go with Noctua NH-D15 like I was going to orginally, I really wanted a AIO but dont wan to deal with these pump issues. Even if the Noctua will kill my build look. Lmk about that noise with the pwm hub, thanks
  4. Thanks for reply, Have you tried out either of these btw? I'm so confused trying to pick out a 280m AIO so I can put my 2x QL140mm on it. Need to figure it out soon lol. Oh shoot great to know thanks, I think the m.2 is a little bit farther away on the tomahawk when looking at pictures, but still close esp the top vrm's. By the way how do you like the Liquid Freezer? In terms of pump noise, also I plan to use it as a push/pull config with 2x of my QL140 so hopefully my p600s is bigger enough in front for that. I swear picking a AIO is so hard lol, I wish the nzxt or corsair one's didnt have such bad pump noise or I probably would or just did one of those. I gotta find out how the Fractal peforms/sounds, I heard its quiet though.
  5. Hey sup everyone, Trying to decide between these two AIO's to replace my stock 3700x cooler and future 5900x cooler. Was going to go with a Nzxt or Corsair at first but heard the newer one's you deal with bad pump sound at certain rpm. So now I'm trying to decide between these two. My plan is to put 2x of my Corsair QL140 fans on either the front or back of the RAD for push and pull in my p600s case. Anyone have experience with either of these and can comment on the pump noise? I do like the look of the fractal a bit more fit my build better, but I heard the Arctic is amazing. I can get either of them right now. The Fratcal is about 30-40 more only thing. I could also get a x63 Kraken for same price but heard bad things about pump noise. Let me know watcha think will help me alot, been trying to decide on a cooler for 6 days now
  6. So yea I think Im going to order the H115i Capellix today, My plan is to front mount it and put my 2x QL 140mm fans in the front to pull in air to the rad, Do you guys think I will suffer performance doing this? I'm switch from stock 3700x cooler so hoping its a bit better, I could also mount the included ML140, on the back side of the radiator but not sure if thats a good idea My last option would be to get a EK-AIO 360 D-RGB instead of the Corsair completely. I heard its good but dont know for sure. Let me know what you guys think, thanks
  7. Hey sup guys, I finally decided the CPU cooler I want for my 3700x and future 5900x, I had wanted the Noctua at first but felt it would kill my builds style, So now I think Im going to get a Corsair H115i Capellix, Question I had is would it kill performance if I used my 2x Corsair QL140mm Fans on it, instead of the one's that it comes with? I plan to front mount it if I use my QL fans. Thanks for help
  8. For sure that one has amazing reviews, but only the 420 version is in stock anywhere and I need to order this cooler asap. So pretty much these are my big 3 choices, I think I would go Noctua right now with white headsinks covers but I feel it would cover my ram and back fan RGB, So yea I think I may give the Corsair one a try sense I have 3x QL140's already. I do love the NZXT though and heard it performs better and quieter. I dont think Ill ever decide lmao, I think I might just give the Corsair or NZXT a try even though it will make it so I cant use my top p600s cover.
  9. Sorry forgot to mention I will upgrading to 5900x very soon, That for sure seems like a nice cooler but I think would kill my build design, for Noctua Id be getting the white heatsink covers if I dont go AIO Mainly was trying to see if anyone has experience with either AIO
  10. Hey sup guys, I made a thread a few days ago trying to decide on a CPU cooler, I think I almost have decided what I want, Right now I'm torn between the Noctua NH-D15 Black or CORSAIR iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX or NZXT Kraken Z63 Right now the Noctua and H115i will coast about the same $20 less for the H115i if I get 2x white headsink covers for my Noctua. The NZXT would be $100 more then Noctua. Does anyone have experiance with either of these AIO's, will help me pick between the two or the Noctua today. Here's a picture by the way how my build looks currently let me know what you think/know about the AIO's Thanks
  11. Oh yea 100% I canceled the Noctua order right after that then refreshed the page and it was $104 so getting it for $110 total shipped, Guess it was a price mess up, only $4 more then msrp. Only thing with the fan cooler I think it might mess up how my build looks a bit why I do like the AIO's like EK and Corsair, But at the same time not having to deal with pump issues/noise is a huge plus Do you think the Noctua wont be good enough for the 5900x?
  12. Thanks for posting those, The Deepcool one is actually really nice with alot of clearance., Also the EK are pretty nice too good reviews on it, Is their a section that rates the different AIO"S and ranks them like for the PSU section? For me I'd say id be leaning toward Corair AIO,EK, or Nzxt for AIO, But I did secure the Noctua so I might go with it, not bad for the $110, and I can put the white panels on it to match my build. I do still think the AIO would look alot better in my build, hard choice need to make up a decision by tonight because Noctua will charge me tomorrow.
  13. #Edit- After buying the Noctua for $154.95 I refreshed the page and saw it for sale for $104.95 direct from Noctua, this is a fair price right? I'm still considering the AIO have until the 14th to cancel Noctua so Yea Wooden shipping in the US. I actually did find a chromax black on amazon direct from Noctua Cooling Solutions but for some reason it coast's $154.95 thats way overpriced it's just suppose to coast $100 right? Thanks for letting me know they both clear the trident Z Neo that helps alot. I might consider the dark rock pro 4 instead because thats only $89; unless I can find a chromax for $99. But I do still really like AIO's alot especially because I have 3x Corsair QL's in my case so it would look great with it. Thanks Clintjeh that helps a lot. Good to hear you had no troubles with he AIO. But also great to hear you had better results with the noctua. I'm looking something to really keep my future 5900x nice and cool. I'm still considering the AIO maybe white corsair version or nzxt but not 100% sure yet. If I can find the noctua for $99 then maybe that. By the way how was the h100i when you first got it pretty quiet? Thanks for that freeagent, Ill look into those other options too. But yea for air I would only prob consider noctua black or bequiet. Also thats good to know that the AIO's get loud after a while of having them. I want something that's going to last. Even though the AIO will look amazing in my case not sure its worth any possible trouble's. Unsorted thanks I checked out the Snowman but I think I'd rather something top of the line for air. In terms of name/quality. But yea 100% I've been using the stock on my 3700x sense June and starting to not like it anymore. the inside under the fan is filled with dust and it can get loud. It does cool it pretty good but still not worth it for the sound.
  14. Very true I had thought about that, only thing is my cousin doesn't want to mess with himself at all after it built. By himself at least. But yea I guess in the future I could maybe meet up with him only thing is we live in different states. Guess I'm going to have to think on it have a few days before amazon charge's me. Thanks
  15. Good information thanks, So yea he will be having a ryzen cpu either a 3700x or 5600x. and his storage will be a 970 evo Plus. I know he wont have too many programs open at once and he doesnt yet plan to use it for gaming. Just maybe have 1-2 programs open at a time I guess for the voice stuff. He plans to use it for recording his voice for commercials and possibly tv shows hes been working with someone on. So not sure I also have a few other options on ram but the 16gb 3600mhz 16CL def gives the most room on his budget. the current ram the 32 vengeance coast 164 total. Other option is Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) C16, that one is 134 without tax so saves about $20 bucks so not much. So my main choice I think is keeping my current order or going with the 16gb ballastix 16 3600. Let me know watcha think Thanks for help
  16. Gotcha thats good to know might consider a good AIO then, would only get something really good if it was a AIO, So for the cooler I hope to use it on my 5900x I plan to get soon. I might use it on my 3700x before then but think waiting for the 5900x might be a better idea. My only cooler I have is a wraith prism so for sure will need it for the 5900x either way ya know. Right now Im using a p600s with 32gb ram 3600mhz 16, So Im not sure what would be better for the 5900x a 280mm or 360mm AIO, I can get pretty much any model but I like the 3 I listed above the most the 2x corsairs and nzxt. But i also like air cooling because of how silent the good ones are and are because their no issues with leaking of anything like that to deal with in future, so the dark rock 4 and noctua dh are def on my list. Not sure which one would give enough unclear for my trident z neo 32gb Right now I can shop on any site for the most part, would only pay msrp so would like to go to a reputable store that has good return policies like amazon or bestbuy or B&H, Let me know watcha think Appreciate the help
  17. Dark rock 4 I could get now the Noctua cant find one anywhere for retail, Im just not sure on ram clearance with the dark rock Do you think those AIO options have a chance of messing up?
  18. oh werd thats good to know thanks, maybe Ill do him the 16gb then, His main plan is to use it for recording voice for commercials, so I guess he going to have a xlr nd stuff linked up to it, not sure sure on the programs but I guess adobe nd stuff
  19. Hey sup everyone, Building my cousin a PC for voice recording, I ordered Vengeance 32gb of 3600 c18 ram but its cutting into budget a bit, Do you guys think Id be good enough with Ballastix 16gb 3600 c 16 ram? Just not sure is 16gb will be enough not sure what voice audio programs require, It would help bring his build to just about 1.4k which would be good, Let me know what u guys think Thanks for help
  20. Sup guys, Im looking to finally complete my PC I build in june and replace my 3700x wraith stock cooler with something nicer, I'm torn between picking a AIO or air cooler, I really love the look of AIO's but dont want to deal with issues or anything that will mess up my pc in future, For AIO I was thinking like a H100i RGB Platinum SE or a Capellix H115i or H150i, or maybe a nzxt cooler. Then for air I was thinking a dark rock 4 or a noctua NH d-15(sold out everywhere) Just torn which I should decide on. Im going to be upgrading the 3700x to 5900x soon thought Id mention as well. Thanks for help
  21. Nice great to hear, Yea so while playing fortnite in the menu I get 61c then while playing its around 65, on the first and 3rd bench test it said average was 67c is that okay? I do only have 3 stock fans in my pc right now Do you think adding 3 more fans will bring the gpu temp down even more? Nd by the way how much did you increase your card by to get those like 1200 over 230ish? nd how's your temp looking? Good to know by the way Ill for sure leave them turned up; im guessing I can probably get more OC out of this too maybe like another 20 or so points of clock and few hundred more for memory; is their a temperature that I shouldn't let it go over ya think?
  22. Thanks for the info man, So for me when I tried afterburner a week ago it messed up my cpu and lookd it at a certain freq and I couldnt change it so had to do a system restore, But I OC'd on precison x1 twice and got pretty good results so far; let me know what you think of them, So I'm getting about 8001/2055 on fortnite right now, and games running perfect, I increased it by 250/87 These are my 2 tests on 3dmark first test and third test; let me know how its looking so far if its worth keeping, 1st test- https://www.3dmark.com/spy/12748302 3rd test- https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/48242893? Thanks for help oh yea by the way I'm not sure if Im suppose to turn the voltage and target power back down after I do the test or I do I leave them maxed out always when I'm running the card OC'd?
  23. ah nice thats good to hear, Yea the coil whine while benchmarking isnt bad on heaven bench only the certain scenes on userbench; while gaming its just a bit, I was actually going to get the white 2080 super asus rog strix at first but people told me the evga would be better for support and upgrading if I want with step up, would of looked really nice in my white case but all good, Do you have any guide on how I go about testing how good my card can OC? I looked on the precision x1 software but Im confused Thanks bud
  24. ah okay great to know man thanks, I dont know much about OC'in but just looked it up a little before writing this, do you have any good guides on how I can test if it will do 2085/8000? Not sure what those vaules are is that memory/gpu clock? Yea I think it hits like 500-600 fps at that scene so I guess it makes scene; its not too horrible with my headset on Thanks for reply bud, Good to know yea it's not too bad just a little bit annoying on a new card, I have a p600s and with all the panels on I barley hear it but I like to keep the top panel off to help with airflow, I need to get 3x more fans for the case only using the stock 3x right now, nd yea I only really hear it make the weird nose when running that scene while gaming its just like a humming noise not horrible with my headset on Thanks for replying back man, Yea I dont think Ill RMA it; I think I might just start the return process on newegg not replaced so they cant turn it down, then try and find out how to OC and see if its a good OC card worth keeping
  25. Hey sup everyone, Built my first pc ever last week and all has been going perfect, it has a EVGA 2080 Super FTW3 Ultra in it; havent OC'd it yet at all I wanted to do a userbench test the other day to see what it would score, So my first test I think I had a game running in the background and the store's were soso, Then my next test I turned off the game and ran another test and noticed the fan was making coil whine noises after the 2nd and 3rd fan started running, It seems to make the noise really loud for about 3 second when it gets to the scene in userbench when it gets the to 3rd scene were the circle object rotates; also minimal whine when on the other fps scenes, I'm also noticing somewhat of the whine when playing warzone and fortnite on 240 fps+ Is this normal or did I maybe cause this to start when I ran the userbench with the game running? My main question is do you guys think I should return or replace this to newegg? I have until tonight to file the return to newegg then 30 days for them to receive it, Or should I just keep it and deal with the whine? I think it might be a good idea to submit the return or replace then do more testing, also do you think return or replace would be better? Appreciate the help I'm very lost on what I should do Thanks
