  1. I know custom loops are dope but I've never made one. At the same time at least to my limited knowledge they require much more maintenance and I really don't want to do that. Even if the cpu won't be as cool as it could possibly be it will still deliver stellar performance. The thing about the Kraken is it doesn't have a dedicated trx4 head so it wont cover the whole heatspreader. On the other hand I really cant tell if the vrm, the graphics card in the first slot and the ram I chose are going to cause any problems with trx4 Dark Rock Pro for example. You could tell that I'm looking for a lower-maintenance-than-a-custom-loop solution that is going to deliver respectable temps. Or maybe it really doesn't matter whether the cooler covers the whole ihs. I dunno Thanks again
  2. Hi, I'm building quite a beefy pc and I need some advice. The platform's gonna be as follows: Threadripper 3970x on a gigabyte trx40 Aorus MASTER with 128gb of trident z (not rgb) 3600 memory and two Asus rog strix rtx 2080 ti's. From what I've read it seems like aircooling is actually not a bad option for threadripper. I certainly don't want to do any custom loops so the only other option would be an aio but I heard that Enermax trx4 cooler had some gunking up issues and on top of that I had never used any aio's before. So my question is: Should I use an air or a watercooler solution and what specific products could those be? Thanks a lot!
