  1. Hi, About 2 months ago I decided I was finally going to build myself a desktop after gaming at 45fps on a Dell laptop I have for school + uni (lol). Built it following Linus's 1st person guide video (was very handy!). I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone on this forum - I have asked probably over 100 different questions, each time getting numerous very helpful and in depth responses. Thank you so much; being my first build, to be honest, I didn't really have much idea what I was doing at all. However, with all the help from picking parts, to building and finally some overclocking, it has all been very smooth thanks you all you knowledgeable and kind people! PS. Yes I like rainbow RGB spam lol (Sorry for low quality photos had to take them in dark otherwise glare on side panel) Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x Viper Patriot 3200mhz 2x8gb @ 3600mhz MSI B450 Tomahawk Max Galax Gamer Ex 2070 Super White Lian Li Lancoool II Silverstone ET700w Ezdiy-Fab RGB fans ($40AUD for 5 RGB fans, Highly recommended!) WD Black 500gb M.2 SSD Seagate Barracuda Compute 3tb Once again, thank you so much to everyone who helped me throughout my first ever build!
  2. I have a Ducky One 2 TKL, so I can't speak for the Llama as such, however I have been very impressed with their build quality and have had no issues so far. Been really enjoying it. However, if you do enough searching there is probably something better or equal quality for cheaper
  3. @SamfisherThe stock voltage can get around 1.45-1.5V. I think my motherboard is automatically pushing it too far, with auto settings anyway. Yes, those voltages above are when CPU usage is 100%, running a Cinebench R20 benchmark with PBO turned on
  4. Hi, I have been getting into overclocking and have managed to get a pretty good OC on my GPU and a decent RAM OC using DRAM calculator, however I am struggling with my CPU. I am running a Ryzen 7 3700x on a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max. Originally I had a stable overclock 4.3Ghz all core @ 1.325V however after reading online, it seems that actually this is not a safe voltage. Doing further research I have read people saying to just use PBO as it is better for gaming anyway, however upon doing a Cinebench R20 test, I am getting lower performance than all core OC (yes, I know this is meant to happen as PBO will provide a higher single core clock only compared to manual OC), however the auto voltages seem very unsafe. I am concerned around the SVI2 TFN voltage peak of 1.487V for CPU. Is this safe? Should I limit my motherboard to a manual voltage lower? Lastly, I was able to get my 4.3Ghz stable at 1.3V, should I stick to this rather than PBO? Thanks
  5. @alatron978I have decreased my voltage to 1.3v which is what MWINFO64 says under load, however are you sure that 1.3125v is unsafe? On the linustechtips video below, they recommend 1.35-1.375v as max voltage. Thanks
  6. @alatron978sorry I don't really understand what you mean (I am new to computers). I ran a cinebench r20 test and here is HWmonitor screenshot if this is what you mean? If not let me know what I need to do? Thanks for the help
  7. Thanks. You've helped me so much with my build haha tyty!
  8. @LIGISTXI tried using the auto OC and it would put my core clock at only around +110, however I was able to get it to +195 manually and tested playing COD Warzone for an hour and had no issues. Am I pushing my card too far or is there something wrong with the way I'm using auto OC? Thanks
  9. Hi I have overclocked my CPU and RAM and wondering if these settings are safe? I followed reddit guides and Linustechtips video (I don't really understand too well OC), so just wanted to make sure I'm not going to fry anything or degrade its life span in any meaningful way (as long as it lasts until technical obsolescence I'm happy). Screenshot below. Ryzen Master screenshot recorded when I did Cinebench R20 benchmark. I have a Ryzen 7 3700x OC to 4.3GHz all core, with a 3200mHz 16gb RAM kit running at 3400mHz DRAM Calculator settings. Thanks
  10. Hi I am new to overclocking and I just followed a jayztwocents guide on how to do it. Just wanted to check if these settings are safe and if this will degrade the life of my card by a meaningful amount (I know it will do a small amount, but as long as it lasts until technical obsolescence it's fine)? Thanks Screenshot of settings below. Under load, card will peak at 60oC, 2160mHz core and 8000mHz memory with around 1000-1050mV voltage
  11. Some more detail: I am changing all the settings it says, even power and gear down mode etc which people say not to change. Should I be doing all settings or just a select few?
  12. @TofuHarotoUnfortunately that did not work. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  13. Hi, I am trying to OC my RAM using DRAM calculator. I have inputted all the settings, but it will not boot. However, if I drop the RAM frequency from 3200mhz to 3000mhz and FCLK from 1600mhz to 1500mhz, then it boots. Below is screenshot of DRAM and Thaiphoon. I am new to OC so don't really understand this stuff, just copying a youtube video and what the calculator says. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks. Oh and I have B450 tomahawk max and ryzen 7 3700x
  14. Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to use my second monitor without minimising my game which is on the main monitor? I am currently alt+tabbing but its kinda annoying. I know that full screen windowed is an option, however I have read that this adds input delay and I would like to avoid this Thanks
