  1. Hey I had something similar, I had to switch to a high speed hdmi cable with a hdmi to dvi connecter going to the pc and have to play certain games like RE2 with vsync on (im a novice so it might have nothing to do with your problem but try a different cable and go from a dvi port and turn on vsync
  2. Anyone good at designing setups? I could use some insight and ideas into how to make mine look less plain. I'm getting away from console gaming, after trying vr I had to get a system that could play it and then I just started playing all my console games on here too.. The entire wall that the computer is next to is empty for about 12feet and on the otherside of my fireplace I have a tv that the pc is also hooked up to so lots of area to work with I just need to plan what to do with it now
  3. kk so I just re-seated it twice with case laying on its side and ended up the same, first time i tried using both thumbs on either side and it made a good click and locked in nicely but still looked the same so i tried again just pushing in the middle and it ended up the same and made a good click and locked, io is lined up straight and level without any work to align screws and card runs great so maybe its just a quirk with the card and/or mobo making it look funny (optical illusion) im going to call it good. I feel better now though and am no longer worried about it thanks all
  4. Not sure if its just the crooked sticker or if the clip at the back isn't in all the way, has anyone ever encountered this? does it matter? (first build)
  5. Ok so i ordered a 2070 super and a aio for the cpu cooler, I'm going to use the z390-A pro and a 1tb nvme I have a 650 watt cooler master white but it makes me nervous so i want to buy a new one would this a good psu? Thermaltake Smart Pro 850-Watt Modular Power Supply
  6. Thanks thats good to know ill get a 1tb nvme and i think ill go with a 2070 super theres one for 750 on amazon that looks good, the 2080s for over 1.5k and the 2080ti for 2k+ is way too much for me to justify with the new gpus around the corner, glad i can keep the cpu though its pretty good runs between 4.3 - 4.67
  7. My VR experience isn't exactly where I would like it to be quality is medium on most titles and sometimes there's stuttering while turning. Would like it as smooth as possible, bought a prebuilt to try it for the first time and now I want to experience it the best I can. Just wondering what I should focus my budget on in a new build for VR, processor or video card, does the motherboard matter or can i use a lower end one etc Budget (including currency): 3500.00 ca Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR and gaming Other details Currently running: Acer predator Orion I7 9700 non k(Runs hot as hell 80+c), RTX 2060, 1tb hd, 500g nvme, 500g ssd, Intel m.2 wireless card, 2x8g 2666ghz kingston ram 500w psu (no idea what one, foreign letters on it) have some old parts not sure if i can use them MSI Z390-A pro (never used bought before i bought my prebuilt) 650w cooler master mwe dc-dc+LLC 80+ Also would like to cannibalize anything i can from my prebuilt
  8. Budget (including currency): $$ Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: High end gaming 1080p monitor- 4k tv and VR Other details Got an amazing deal on a prebuilt for cheaper than i could have gotten the cpu and gpu but the case is crap and already after a week has dust also no upgrading slots on the motherboard (predator orion 3000 rtx 2060 intel i7 9700 non k, 899$ at best buy on one of those curbside pickup things and ended up with higher spec version at the cheap ones price as it was "all they could find" when i came to pick it up after ordering) so my questions are. 1. What kind of motherboard can I use to upgrade with? I was looking at this Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming Motherboard LGA1151 (Intel 8th 9th Gen) ATX DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 802.11AC Wi-Fi 2. Can i just take out all the parts I like? my graphics card, cpu, ssd and hdd etc. and put them onto a new motherboard in a dust free case? 3.I plan on getting a better video card down the road for 4k once the new nvidia rtx's are released as well the 2060 seems pretty ok on my monitor its only 1080p 75hz ( i used to be only a console gamer with a laptop for work so this is my first experience with a gaming pc) this is what it says on the website for my prebuilt https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/DG.E1XAA.002 Oh yeah heres the case im looking at mainly for the dust covers (my house gets crazy dusty and I don't have pets or anything) Corsair Icue 220T RGB Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower Smart Case, White if you can suggest something nicer for under 300 i'm interested also id like the motherboard under 400 but can go a bit higher (prefer to order from newegg or amazon)
