  1. Just a quick update/ detail- I reseat the graphics card and went into the bios to reset it just in case and when I logged back in the problem seems to be gone at the moment. I can see Nvidia control panel and the device manager shows the device correctly, this had happened the last time too but it didn’t last long the last time. Does this have something to do with the graphic card heating up over time or something in the bios…. I’m just trying to find things that I can do because I REALLY don’t want to wait more or potentially even get the device replaced….
  2. Is there anything I can do individually? Or has the damage already occurred?
  3. I have a Zotac gtx 1080 mini, temperatures on the included motherboard software used to be fine when I could see them. Now I can’t even see them because the driver has been stopped
  4. Yeah that’s what I read too, but updating drivers does nothing and when I uninstall drivers and try to install them again, Nvidia installer says this driver is not compatible with the current windows version. My windows version is the latest windows 10 release and the graphics driver is also the most recent Nvidia driver.
  5. Hi, my system boots alright but the screen recently started to have errors very similar to how it becomes when there aren’t any drivers. This starts to happen straight from the login screen. I’ve tried to update drivers so many times without any fix. In device manager it says windows has stopped the device because it has reported problems(code 43) I tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling without any luck. It’s a new computer that I assembled and was not having this problem until very recently when I had to change out the motherboard. The graphics card is used but it was working perfectly before. Any help would be appreciated!!
  6. I just bought a GTX 1080 from the used market and this is the first time I’ve bought a used component ever so I don’t know how prices are. I bought the 1080 for US$ 540. Also note that I live in India where we don’t get as many graphic cards anyway so everything is more expensive. Plus due to the shortages and price hikes everywhere this is the cheapest one I could find that had decent performance. Is this a good deal given the current situation of the market?
  7. I’m upgrading my pc in India but don’t want to buy new hardware due to money restrictions. Current specs: Intel i7 7700 GTX 1050ti 16gb 2666mhz RAM I was looking for used GPUs and found an ASUS strix OC GTX 980 for 9,500 INR (~125 USD) in great condition. Price wise it’s the best deal on the market right now but I’m really confused about it handling modern titles and being future proof. The games I’m looking to play are: Call of duty: Cold War Fortnite Cyberpunk 2077 Light open world games like GTA V All games on 1080p My other option is a used GTX 1080 for more than twice the price (~ 300 USD ) Also, I can’t buy new hardware because the price In India is so high. For example: The new RTX 3070 is launching in India for almost $700! Is it worth spending more money for the 1080 or to buy the 980 and upgrade the cpu and motherboard instead? I can also buy the 980 now and when I have access to more money later, buy a used 2070 or the 3070 If it’s cheaper then. Side note: I also want to get into VR this year, so VR support is also pretty important. Any advice is appreciated!
  8. it was on optimal power, changed it to maximum performance but no actual change in FPS anywhere. Also i noticed that my integrated graphics always has more usage than my dedicated graphics in-game
  9. The games are running on dedicated graphics (atleast thats what they say) and my laptop is plugged in and not in power saving mode
  10. Hey, i took your suggestion and run minecraft but it showed the dedicated graphics (it's also running on ~40 fps on FAST settings T_T ) What shocked me was that i also run it on my integrated graphics and it showed me HIGHER frames than my dedicated graphics did. (~50 fps) I have no idea what's happening but something is VERY wrong here!
  11. Cpu: between 96-100% usage and ~93 degrees celsius temp GPU - ~45% usage and ~80 degrees celsius temp (80 usage on my integrated gpu as well ) Memory - 11.7/16 gb(~73%) Disk - between 0 - 20%
