  1. Just curious if anyone has a bead on an Antec NeoPower 500 (HE500) 8pin graphics cable on the webs? Searching eBay to no avail.....but guess to be expected since this is long discontinued Any alternative cable suggestions more than appreciated!
  2. Is it safe to say that with how little power they draw, that 2 or 3 SSD's on the same power cable (modular Antec Neopower 500W) should be OK ? Have to think there would be no issue of under powering that config? Planning on rolling out a few Barracuda 120 SSDs on the same line to keep the cables down.
  3. So just installed a new Google wifi (2nd Gen) after airport extreme crapped the bed after 5 years. Noticed immediate slow speeds once I got the 360 slim connected to new router. And at the time it wasn't connecting properly to xbox live. I have since opened the required TCP and UDP ports and it now see's Live, but the speeds still suck (2mb down and only 1mb up) All my other device get the normal 110mb down and 10mb up (spectrum) I also swapped out the easy to do Wifi module (ifixit rocks on that simple tip)......and still getting same crap speeds. Any suggestions?? To add.....only 20ft from the new wifi with 2 simple walls in between.
  4. Maybe someday anyway.....let's hope its not another vaporware https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-64427-0
  5. So SATA II I guess it is.....well thanks folks !
  6. Actually is a little confusing from the manual.....SATA 3.0....or is it SATA 3 Gb/s Intel H55 chipset
  7. So I just updated a machine I Frankensteined together from some old hardware. Got an Intel DH55TC mobo with a Xeon 3460 and 8gb RAM. And appears to be running SATA3 on the motherboard (hooked up to the first port....not the eSATA ones) Have a new Seagate Barracuda 120 SSD 500gb hooked up with a barely used SATA cable (ZM599CM1A003) After what appears to be mediocre SSD speeds that I was running in EIDE mode, finally got the board up and running in AHCI mode (thank god for Windows 10 System Repair), and my speeds appear nominally better in CrytalMark. Down to a 13 second boot so I can't be unhappy with that.....but any ideas on what else I may need to look for No HDD hooked up at this time.....just the straight SSD for the whole system Speeds too slow....or is this about right for a 10 yr old motherboard with average speed DDR3?? Wasn't sure how close this was to the 6GB that SATA 3 was rated for (assuming this is SATA 3.0....and not 3.1 or 3.2) And cannot find any docs if this Barracuda 120 SSD has any Dram cache
