  1. So I had a very crappy wifi connection up till now. think...5mbps capped. and it was always by my computer side so I was easily able to use an Ethernet cable to maintain a connection. However... Starting this week we changed to a different provider. T-mobile specifically. The problem is, the only viable place for the network router or gateway is in the living room which is I think about 50/100 feet from where my current setup is. Should I get a really long Ethernet cable...Or should I set aside a little bit to buy a Network card for my PC and go wireless to avoid the hassle of cable routing?
  2. I finally built my first PC alone. I am SO glad I got it all working. Solid, quick, or would be if my internet wasn't so darn slow LOL. Anyway... I have a 240 GB SSD for booting my OS, it also has a few applications running on it like Discord, Steam and Telegram (These are my main go to's when I'm on my PC) And I have a 4TB HDD that I am trying to use as my game storage and file storage. When I try to change the location of my documents folder to the HDD it keeps saying I'm not allowed to move my Documents, PIcture or Music folders into my HDD. Currently. I have at least managed to make the HDD the proffered download path for my game downloads on Steam by going into my Steam download settings but I don't understand why it will not allow me to set my documents and such onto the HDD instead.
  3. Makes sense. After all I would not want this SSD to go kaput so soon after buying it. I want this to last me a few years which is why I am using it primarily for OS and leaving all my game storage to the HDD. So then I'll order that 240GB Model soon then. I'll put in a refund for the 120GB model so that I at least get SOME of my money back. I may have to wait a week to build my PC but it's worth it to have a better performing PC.
  4. That...actually isn't too bad. it's only $20 more than what the 120GB model had. The package that contains the 120GB Comes in today so maybe...I'll put in for a refund to get that money back and then buy the 240GB SSD. Ironically bought from Newegg as well.
  5. Are there any 200/250GB SSD's that wouldn't break the bank per say and be reliable? The thing here is I'm kind of new with SSD's lol.
  6. I kind of already have the 4TB HDD already and the 128GB SSD is mostly for windows OS and nothing more.
  7. The specs of the PC I am building are here below. I am wondering if the Power Supply I was able to pick up is going to be efficient enough for my computer to run properly or if I should return it to Newegg and wait for bigger wattages to come down in price because...all of the power supplies of higher wattages are a bit above my price range with the ones that ARE...are a lil bit iffy right now.
