  1. I have acquired a free Xbox 360 in unknown working order from the first generation (Xenon). I opened it up and reinstalled new cooling paste and dusted everything off with compressed air. I plugged it in, everything turned on, no red rings with the A/V cable from another Xbox 360. But it does not give any audio or video signal. I have tested the cable with another Xbox 360 and the cable and television work. The port of the Xbox 360 works because otherwise it would give a red ring according to the support website. Any idea what could be the culprit? GPU maybe?
  2. Hello everyone, I'm very new to the PS Vita and have one with the plugin PSVshell to overclock it. I tried the new PSVshell plus but didn't like it, so I tried to revert back but now the ES4 values keep blinking between the values '41' and '111' in the interface. If I change it to overclock with the blue letters it does stay on that value, but does that mean it's working? I tried to delete all PSVshell's files in config and the plugin itself and restart but that had no avail.
  3. Been rocking the RX 580 Nitro and it's served me well for my 1080P screen. I do have a 144 Hz screen that's only of course fully utilized in older games, but I mainly play Hell Let Loose which at low settings runs at around 60 FPS. Acceptable but not optimal. I was thinking about holding on to it until 4k 144Hz screens and GPU's got into a more affordable range but I just saw a 6750XT for 499 which seems like a really affordable price. Rest of the build is a Ryzen 9 5900x and 32 GB Ram. Any thoughts on this?
  4. Hey everyone. I was planning on buying the G.Skill Ram to utilise dual channel memory, but I was wondering if they only come with samsung chips or if I have to specifically ask a retailer for these chips. Couldn't find a definite answer anywhere
  5. Hello everyone. For work we have to open a link to see the week's schedule (says it's an ICS file). When i click on it to open, it opens a chrome tab and doesn't display anything. It has to do with the handlers or something but when i go to settings to disable the protocol handlers it didn't work. Any other suggestions?
  6. Hello everyone, I'm due an upgrade (from i7 4790k) and decided it's going to be a Ryzen 5000. I am mainly going to use it for music production (mainly hardstyle so lots of Sylenth1, Serum and effects) but can't decide on the CPU. Prices are as followed and all three are available: Ryzen 5 5600x (300,-) Ryzen 7 5800x (400,-) Ryzen 9 5900x (520,-) The 5600x should be adequate for now but I plan to work on this pc for a long time (maybe 10 years or so if I can) so then something like the Ryzen 7 or 9 might be more adequate. Someone suggested to take a look at results from DAWbench (if there are any already), but couldn't figure out how the website works. If anyone has tips, that'd be appreciated.
  7. So i'm thinking about trading in my old i7 4790k because my motherboard (z97) basically broke down and I don't really feel like spending 75,- on an old board like that (Troubleshoot topic here if you have any last resort idea's! So if I I can't fix it and do have to make the jump I wanna do it right. I'm really into hardstyle production and a friend of mine has an AMD A4 socket (MSI B450 Tomahawk) board lying around with a 16GB ram stick so i'll probably get that from him. Does anyone have any experience with a good cpu? So far the I7 did alright, but I think it started to struggle a little with heavy projects. According to the websites of the DAW and I use and most plugins you don't need much to get it "running" but to actually have it processing notes and all that takes quite a lot because I'm sure an Intel Pentium III to run any of my projects. According to this Youtube Video you need good single core performance in combination with a solid amount of cores (so I guess 4 is not enough anymore) so right now the Ryzen 5 5600x was appealing but i'm not sure if that's enough.
  8. A while back I accidentally bent a few pins on my Z97 motherboard which basically broke it but after some fiddling I got it to work again. I decided to give it a clean and some fresh paste, kept the cpu in the slot. At first it was fine, but after i took the gpu out for some fresh paste the board doesn't power up anymore. Power button of the motherboard lights up, so the cables to that are fine, reattached the CPU cable as well, but to no avail. My guess is the pins are messed up again because of moving the cooler and maybe the gpu, but if anyone has any suggestions to what it might be, please let me know to give it a last try to fix it. I'll try fixing the pins one more time as well on monday but otherwise I'll get rid of the whole set (i7 4790K), it's kinda old by now anyway and I'll get something fresh. I don't really feel like spending 75 - 100 euro's again on a Z97 board. I'm really into hardstyle music production (FL studio) so if anyone has any relevant experiences with any CPU's that work well it's appreciated. In theory the plugins shouldn't take that much to "run", in reality you need a pretty hefty cpu to get it to work properly with many layers but i'm not sure what the reason is (core speed or threads or something) becausethe I7 was struggling a bit with large projects. Any help is welcome, thanks in advance.
  9. So today I joined the mechanical keyboard community by building my own. Gotta say it was a fun project after I figured out how to assemble it. Had some trouble fitting the metal plate to the PCB and also the stabilizers were a bit of a hassle, but I think we're good now. So this is an aluminum brown case which is nice and sturdy and under the hood there are Kailh Box Pink switches which so far I like a lot. The keycaps are offbrand but maybe in the future i'll change them and also mod it in the future. For now I'm excited to learn all the ins and outs of the functions since it's a sixty percent. Cheers.
  10. So here it is, in full working order. Kailh Box Pink switches with some random keycaps. Gotta say I love the look. Low profile with that sturdy aluminum brown coffee case.
  11. There we go, weird that I couldn't find any other of the GK61XS that mounted this way. Feel a bit like an idiot that I didn't figure it out sooner. Thanks for the advice.
