  1. Oh, I didn't read your message well. Yeah, side-mounting it would be an option, even though I don't love the look. I guess it would be possible to mount it vertically if I don't use the bottom fans though..
  2. I was thinking the same, but I don't have any "real" info about it. Are you sure?
  3. Yeah, I recently bought the d15 specifically to avoid using one. I don't like the idea that, even if miniscule, there is a chance of it leaking and shorting everything, especially now that I want to invest into a 2k €€€ gpu
  4. I guess I am gonna be forced to go with something like the thermaltake divider 200 tg. Being horizontal I should not have the issue i am having right now
  5. Is there a case that can accomodate a noctua d15 and an RTX 4090 mounted vertically? I have a be quiet dx500, but as you can see from the pic, it is so close to the rx 6800 I have, a 4090 wouldn't fit
  6. I found out that the way to connect my laptop to an external screen, while using the dgpu, is through the usb-c port, that should work as a dp 1.4 port, if the nvidia panel is to be believed. Since I don't have optimus, this should be a way to gain some fps. However, the monitor I intend to use doesn't have a free dp port. Now my question is: if I buy and usb-c to hdmi cable, will it work the same? Am I forced to buy a usb-c to dp and then buy a converter from dp to hdmi in?
  7. I thought about it, but if I understood it correctly, all the 3060 mobile are the same chip, with the same hardware inside.
  8. Hello. I'll be brief. I got an Asus tuf f15 equipped with an 11400h and a rtx 3060 (which has a 95w vbios). I run both undervolted, and the temps are honestly great, I get like 70c on both while gaming, or under sinthetic benchmarks like firestrike or cinebench I don't break the 80c barrier. I'm one of those guys who always monitor temps and such, so I'm not worried about them. That said, I wouldn't mind having a little more power on the gpu side by flashing a 115-130w vbios on it, to fully utilize the gpu. I'm a tinkerer, I always try to extract the maximum performance from the hardware I have, and if I'm correct, all 3060 mobile are made equal, they are just vbios constrained due to different thermals capabilities of laptops. I already found an asus one (for a g15 strix) that should work, but here is the only question I have, is there any REAL risk in flashing a vbios on my 3060? I mean, even if things go south, and the 3060 gets corrupted, my laptop doesn't even have a mux switch, so it basically always boots with the Intel Igpu and then switches over the nvidia card for intensive tasks. As long as I make a backup vbios for my 3060, I should be safe right? Thanks, have a good day!
  9. I am in the process of getting a screen that has to be used as my main pc display until the likes of the odyssey g9 neo or a decent sized oled come to the market. Now, there was a deal on amazon, and I managed to snatch up an LG 34gn850 that is supposed to be one of the best 34" out there. Since it was purchased on amazon warehouse, it has a minor defect (a green pixel stuck in the middle of the screen, but it is so tiny that you can see it only on black background) but I payed for it just 480€, so that is fine. Now, I also own a 55" CX oled tv, and while I was aware that the lg monitor is an ips and the contrast is its main weakness, I can't say I'm happy with it. While the colors are fine, everything to me looks dull since the blacks are really just a dark grey. Yes, after a while you don't notice it anymore, but still it is not an amazing experience imho. Since this warehouse deal was still going on, I thought "let's buy a VA 34" to directly compare it to the LG, then I will decide which one to send back", and I stumbled on this Millenium monitor, which supposedly has the same Samsung panel as the Xiaomi 34 and the Gigabyte one. Today I powered it, fully expecting it to be plain bad compared to the lg (which, new, costs almost double the millenium) but now I'm questioning my own eyes. Yes, on specific games (mainly those with an isometric camera, like in Hades) you can see the VA smearing, which is not present on the ips. However, I can't see the smearing on any other game. I tried Monster Hunter world, TBOI, Rocket League and the Outer Wilds so far, and unless I really really look for it, I just can't notice it. On the other side, blacks are Black. They are not on the Oled level, but they are really really deeper. As far as color goes, maybe the ips is a bit more vibrant, but I haven't calibrated the VA, so I can't tell. As anyone had the same experience that I am going through? I am really tempted to just keep the VA one that I payed just 290€ and return the LG, but I am still on the fence. Can anyone reccomend me games that could show VA smearing? It seems absurd to me that the only thing close to an Oled is just the samsung g9 neo, the thing cost an arm and a leg...
  10. Hi guys. I'm writing here as kinda of last resort, since I consider myself decently computer savvy and I tried everything I could think of. That is what happened. -I bought a new pair of headphones, and they were fine. However, today they started to stutter a bit, so I thought ''I have that other bluetooth receiver in my drawer, let's try it.'' Oh boy, why. -I disconnected the main one, put it in my pc, and paired my headset. However, the problem was even more evident, so I decided to go back to the other receiver. This is where things went somehow wrong. It seems like this possessed bluetooth receiver wants my headset soul, as when I use my main one now the headset won't connect anymore. It will say ''connecting...then ''try to connect again to the device'' Things I tried to ''free'' my headphones to the apparent bind that windows decided they have with that specific receiver: 1-Uninstall everything in device manager under the ''bluetooth'' tab. No luck 2- Plug again that shitty bt receiver, connect my headphone (and they work fine with it), then going in device manager and unistall everything related either to the receiver or the headphones. Nothing. 3- Factory reset of the headset. Nothing. 4- I went to regedit and just wiped EVERYTHING under HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/SYSTEM/currentcontroset/services/BTHPORT. Nothing happened I'm at a loss, for some reason it seems like windows ''locked'' the headset to the shitty receiver, and really doesn't want my headset to connect to every other receiver. Does anyone have suggestions beside reinstalling windows?
  11. Hello guys, I have a question to those who are more experienced than me in connectivity stuff. Basically, I have this cheap ass router that my provider gave me, that works, but only has 2.4ghz band. I happen to have another spare modem at my disposal that is 2.4 and 5ghz capable, and I was wondering: is there a way to "daisy chain" them so that I have that sweet 5ghz available? So that the first modem just "share" the internet Just replacing the old one with the better one is not something I want to do, since my whole family relies on it and I don't want to mess with it. Thanks in advance
  12. Hello. Today I was tinkering with hwinfo and the radeon overlay, and I spotted a thing. Basically, if I set my clock speed above 2255mhz, no matter what voltage I apply, the card will ignore it and put it at 1025mv (the stock value). This way, to effectively undervolt my gpu I'm forced to stay below 2256mhz, otherwise it is not a true undervolt, because it will get just ignored. I'm I the only one with this problem? Why does it happen? Also, if I set a voltage, let's say 940mv, in reality the software will apply 968mv (or so it says). Why?
  13. I'll be short. Does anyone here have this board? I'm on the latest bios (4.60) which supports Ryzen 5000 cpus, however I can't find the option to enable the resizable BAR anywhere in the bios. It should be near ''above 4g decoding''. What am I missing?
  14. IT LIVES! Thanks man, I did what you told me as last resort, and it works!!!
  15. I tried it in another system, still no post. I think I need to rma it...
