  1. ok I plan on using this rig for a long time before I upgrade so I most likely will go with the 3600
  2. Do you know what 2nd to 3rd gen is good for my needs? is the 2700x any good or do you think I should spend the extra cash and get a 3rd gen?
  3. So I am in the middle of planing out a new build. But I cannot seem to chose what cpu to go with. These are the cpu's I am looking at currently ryzen 3600,3600x and the 3700x. Also are the 2600 and 1800x cpu any good in 2020? I mainly use this pc for school work and some gaming on the side like at 1080p want more than 60 FPS. My budget is $1500 CAD and my gpu that I will be going with is the gigabyte 2070 super.
  4. Well usually i play GTA V, Red dead redemption 2 all at medium to high settings. But the 1070 is old so I would say 2060 or 2060 super.
  5. noctua's if you don't mind the poop color
  6. You could try and find used fans on ebay that are good condition. Or put on a ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV if you don't mind the looks and the no rgb.
  7. As said above 32 gb is too much for just gaming. I have a 1070 and it is hitting +75 FPS with mid to high settings.
  8. when I launch apps nothing happens it is normal, and on startup there is also no noise. Only when I go to access files. Could it be overheating?
  9. really my hard drive failed in 3 years. Well it is going to be a pain to move all my files
  10. So I have this 4tb WD hard drive about 3 years old now and every time I go to use it. Like access the files it makes a whirring noise and then it freezes the file explorer window then after the whirring is done the frozen window is gone and I can access the file or make a new folder or new text document. Is there any way to make the hard drive not do that and so that I don't need to wait for it to boot up then I can access the files. I have tried to go into the power plan and change it from balanced to high performance and I went to advanced settings and set the hard disk sleep option to 0 minutes and still nothing the hard drive is still doing the same thing. thanks
  11. yes I was just going to buy this ram. But it is CL 18. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FBVYFKH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1
  12. so I currently don't have any good ram I have some ram at 2666mhz that was of my old build. What ram do you think I should go with
  13. need some help with a new pc build my budget is $1500 CAD but I do not mind if it goes over by a bit like up to $2500. I want this pc to be able to play games at 1440p and 4k resolution at 60fps and watch youtube and browse the internet and do my school work. I built a pc myself using some youtube help but don't know if it is good I have some parts already from my previous pc like the storage and more. Any help is appreciated Edit: I don't know if I should go with the 3600x or the 3700x as the 3600x is currently $265 CAD and the 3700x is $430 CAD. Is there much difference?
