  1. Im trying to clone my boot device to another ssd. this new ssd has some stuff on it but i do not care if it gets erased. This device is 6 times the size of the boot device so size is not an issue, but I keep getting a Unable to dismount volume error. Please help!
  2. I was given 20+ illustrator files but they are all separate. I would like to merge them all so there are multiple artboards (6ish) on each tab. This way I can export in mass quantities. Anyone know how to do this?
  3. For work I have a large file that I need to share. I'm using a PC and the person that needs to receive said files is a Mac user. I have compressed the files and uploaded them to Google Drive, but when she downloads them and tries to extract there is an error (not sure specifically what is happening as she didn't give details). The file is for WebStorm and about 8.5 gigs and when compressed comes down to 4 and some change. I'm currently trying to upload the non compressed version but of course it's taking a long time and not making much progress. We are in different states so it will need to be transferred via the internet. I'm assuming it's a Windows to Mac issue, so is there anything I can do to make it work on her end? For more information, I'm able to successfully download and extract the file. Thanks in advance for the help.
  4. I’ll give those a look. I just need someway to remote access the server pc
  5. I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying
  6. Trying to turn an old pc into a server like in the recent video, but they don’t mention that you need a business email for pulseway. Is there a way around it, or an alternative option I can use?
  7. FX 8350, gtx 750, 16 gigs ram (I couldn’t tell you the speeds lol) and I’m not sure the mobo. 256 gb ssd, 650 watt evga psu edit. I finally got it to go into windows.
  8. I just cranked down on the zip ties and now bios settings says cpu temp at 35. It made it through the setup process but when it got the finished part the computer restarted and it still won’t load into windows
  9. Bios settings says 80 on the cpu, but it hasn’t changed at all so I’m not sure if it’s accurate. I’m using a new psu, so it should be fine.
  10. I’m trying to install windows on a new build I threw together with old parts. It’s gonna be a home server so it’s a little janky. As I’m trying to install windows, I’m getting to the point where it says “getting files ready for installation” with a percentage next to it. But it only gets to like 35-45% before the pc just crashes and completely shuts down. It won’t turn back on until I switch off the psu and turn it back on. Then I can turn the pc on and start the process over. one thing I think it could be is the cpu overheating. I’m using some sort of be quiet air cooler, but the original mounting hardware broke and it’s zip tied on. But I’m 90% sure there’s enough mounting pressure from the zip ties. any ideas on what could be the issue? There’s plenty of space on the drive, the hardware should be able to handle installing windows.
  11. Would you know how to do that? I cant seem to find the catalog
  12. Unfortunately my C drive is only 128 gigs. I have another ssd and a hdd that are 1tb each, but when working in lightroom I get a notification saying the c drive is full. I went into preferences and chose to use the hdd as the store originals locations, but it still fills my c drive. Im assuming that its only a cache or something while im editing, but its still annoying (yes im trying that breziner method that is in their latest video). Any way to prevent this? I want lighroom completely out of the c drive.
  13. Took apart my old laptop to upgrade from a hdd to ssd. I noticed an access slot for ram upgrade. There’s only one stick of 4 gigs and I presume by the looks of it the other 4 gigs is soldered to the board. Kinda annoying but I guess I can still upgrade the ram, if I got an 8 gig stick I’d just have 12 gig total. Kinda weird I wish I could replace it all as one brand
  14. I was looking online and saw an add for a g700s that was for 200 dollars. I was curious because it’s the mouse I have, but when I bought it new from Best Buy it was only like 60 bucks or so. That was about 6 or 7 years ago by now. Looking at more adds for it online I’ve seen it anywhere from 150 to 300 bucks. Why is this mouse so high?
  15. I have a new build with an ssd and windows already loaded onto it. I have a hard drive from an old system I want to move into the new system, but that hard drive also has windows downloaded onto it. How would I go about transferring the drive? Do I have to somehow delete windows from the old drive? Or will the new system just automatically boot from the new drive and you don’t have to worry about the hd having windows on it? what would happen if I had both drives, that both contain windows on it, and booted up the system
  16. Im filming a funny video and would like the mortal combat "round one fight" sound effect and overlay of the words pop up on screen. Im not worried about copyright and whatnot cause its for personal use. Anyone know how to get that or easily make it?
  17. ill have to try that for sure. luckily this video being unedited im able to just download it from the drone directly to my phone, but Id like to do something for those edited videos.
  18. file size is way too big. works for pictures, not videos
  19. Sorry if this isn't the right page to post, but I cant get a video onto instagram and I wanted to ask if y'all had any tricks. I took a nice video from my mavic mini and I want to get it onto instagram, but its on my pc and instagram sucks on the desktop. I've tried the inspect trick where you go into a mobile view, with no luck posting a mp4 file. When I go to click on the file to post it, nothing happens. Do I need to convert the video into some other file type? I do have access to all the adobe products if needed, but this video is completely unedited. EDIT: the video is only 25 seconds long and is 123 mb
  20. I’m wanting to get Microsoft flight sim 2020 but I’m not sure how good of experience I’d have on my pc. I’m running a ryzen 5 3600, 32 gigs ram @3200 and an rx 580 (8GB model). it meets minimum requirements but not sure how smooth it’ll actually be. do y’all think it’ll be worth it to get it or will it be a bad experience. edit. I have my cpu over clocked to 4.2
  21. When I first built my pc I got a small 128 gig nvme for my boot drive to save money. That drive keeps running out of space cause sometimes things will only download to the boot drive. I want to replace it with a 1tb nvme, my question is can I transfer over all that data and files on it and the operating system?
  22. im trying to install a usb flash drive with the installation media so i can load windows onto a new computer, but when i download it, open it, and select that i want to make a install tool, it tells me i dont have enough space on my c drive (boot drive). it doesnt even give me the option of where i want to install it to. I guess im lucky it didnt automatically install onto my boot drive and wipe everything on it.
  23. So I got a green light. I guess half of my socket doesn’t work so I plugged it into another socket. But I’m not getting any signal on my mini hdmi to hdmi cable
  24. I hope this is the right forums page. Sorry if it’s not. I got one of those free raspberry pi zero W from micro center and I’m trying to use it. I downloaded raspberry lite and formated it and all that good stuff onto the micro sd. I have it plugged in to the pi and power cable as well. I’m getting no hdmi signal or anything. I saw in a video someone had a green light that turned on when powered up but mines not flashing anything.
  25. Im building a pc for my dad, he wants to use it for web surfing and other normal uses along with some of the lower end softwares for design like sketchup 3d. would a gtx 1660 be overkill for his system?
