  1. Forgot to mention, I checked a few motherboards and their available BIOS/Firmware downloads and you can see at what point they disable PCIE Gen 4.0 support, so yeah the more you know. But that's pretty obvious to some people anyways.
  2. Alright, did a little bit of research. Apparently yeah, Motherboard manufacturers did actually advertise pre-X570 boards to supporting PCI-E gen 4 despite AMD saying it won't. So at one point PCI-E 4.0 did actually become available on most if not all AM4 boards but was almost immediately ceased as said by AMD for reason that the boards might not be in spec to run gen 4.0 the hardware the boards are made in. Something about the traces in motherboards and the signal integrity something. Though like this guy said, It "might" be just fine for quality board manufacturers like ASUS and Gigabyte. But I guess that's it for this, thanks <^_^>. I was just surprised why there isn't much people trying this out, maybe for good reasons. Thanks.
  3. Hello, I just saw a video on Youtube (by George Tech YT) that's about a year old and it was shown at around (12:25) that the Gigabyte A320 can handle PCIE 4.0 bandwidth. Just questions out of curiosity: Is this real? or is it just joke or a trick I was too dumb to see. r does it really work, but what's the catch or how? Does it work with the other A320 motherboards?
  4. I would just want to say that there may be a possibility of the PSU is already failing, it might even be the reason of the PC crashing eventually causing the fan of the GPU to die. Although unlikely, it just could be a factor You can try this: But like they said, 2 fans are ok but the one that's not working may be causing a sort of shortage What is the capacity of your PSU? and what is it? by the looks of it, it seems pretty good and ok.
  5. The RTX 2060 seems to be performing normally on the benchmark, Are you sure you didn't just accidentally turn on V-Sync in the game settings?
  6. Can you try to see if V-Sync and/or G-Sync is enabled in NVIDIA Control Panel? disable it if it is. Do you still have your old pc? Does the RTX 2060 also perform below expected at that pc? Can you try running this? https://www.userbenchmark.com/ then send the link to the results.
  7. How did you use an Intel processor to a B350 chipset? Could you try setting the Power Options of the PC to High Performance? it's should be insignificant to Desktops but sometimes it does things. Can you send us a screenshot of GPUZ on both 1060 and RTX 2060? This should be impossible, the driver has got nothing to do with the card's BIOS.
  8. Try to set your Power Options (Control Panel) to High Performance and/or underclock the GPU a little
  9. With the GPU connected, could you try plugging your monitor onto the motherboard's display outputs to see if there is signal from there? Could you try disabling iGPU in the BIOS? Does it not have signal throughout the many display outputs of the GPU? You are sure the cable is fine? maybe try a different cable? Try enabling multimonitor in the bios, (u might need to enable iGPU 1st) then connect your monitor to the motherboard see if you get a display, then check Device Manager>Display Adapters to see if the GPU is listed over there
  10. Enabling multimonitor cuts display on both onboard and gpu?, you tried connecting the cable on the motherboard with that setting?
  11. Apparently this issue is experienced by many users before, though they have different fixes. Possible fixes (From around who had a similar problem): 1. Power options -> System settings -> Shutdown Settings -> Uncheck Turn on fast start up. 2. Set the Windows power option to High Performance 3. a. Install the Driver software, disable the GPU whenever it becomes enabled b. after installation, go and enable the GPU in device manager c. open GPU-Z and run the render test as soon as you turn on the GPU d. The biggest caveat is that I need to have the render test running at all times in the background or the GPU will stop working 4. Turn off VT-x in BIOS (Intel virtualization) 5. Using a different cable 6. Ran the driver installation as a custom install, and deselected HD Audio Drivers and GeForce Experience. Everything went through fine for version 382.33. 7. Updated BIOS 8. Another driver custom install, uncheck everything except the driver itself. If none of these work, i'm out of ideas.. except using Windows 7, could work (I think) but that OS is out of support.

  13. try to beat it, go to Settings>System>Display>Advanced Display Settings>Display adapter properties for Display #>Screen refresh rate before the screen disappears, haha idk
  14. Try installing the drivers but also try to keep the refresh rate low
  15. Wait, so as long as the driver isn't installed... it wouldn't lose the display? What happens if you try to keep the driver not installed (disabling win update/disconnecting from net, or uninstalling it) Also, what happens if you try to reduce the refresh rate, Settings>System>Display>Advanced Display Settings>Display adapter properties for Display #>Screen refresh rate
