  1. By the way, we didn't clear this up. What's this "lagging"? Does the computer become unresponsive and takes time to act or is it literally lagging?
  2. Warranty doesn't bother me too much actually haha I'm referencing the EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER SC ULTRA GAMING, I was thinking on buying the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING OC until I saw the EVGA one
  3. The EVGA Geforce GTX 1660 Super is probably the cheapest 1660 super variant in the market, but is it really that worse than the Gigabyte or the MSI ones? I'm asking because I'm thinking on buying a 1660 super and seeing all those different prices (EVGA 1660 Super can be bought for 230€ while Gigabyte or MSI can be up to 50€ more expensive) confuses me a lot.
  4. I know, but I never had to reach out to the customer service, that's why I said I already had trust with them haha I'm comparing it with the Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super Gaming OC
  5. Heyy For the first week, you MIGHT notice a difference, it's absolutely normal, after all, you are used to 5k. I'm pretty sure that after 2 months or so you won't even notice that you are using 4k. Anyways, I hope that you won't notice much of a difference haha, good luck
  6. I'm looking for a new graphics card and I have my eyes set on the 1660 super, but I saw that the price difference between the MSI and the Gigabyte variants are big (around 30€ or even 40€ in some cases). I was going to buy the MSI one first because I was also going to buy an MSI motherboard and I already have trust with the company, still, seeing a gigabyte 1660 super for 249€ when I am going to buy the MSI one for 280€ really made me think again. Is there any advantage that can explain the price difference between those two? Because those 30€ would help me to upgrade my PSU to 450W or 500W
  7. Right now AMD is WAY ahead with their Ryzen CPU, you can get a 100$ ryzen 5 1600 AF so much better than a i5-9400F for 60$ less (for example)
  8. why the i5 4570? From what I saw, it's around 70$ and you could get an i3-9100F for the same price and 10x better (even tough I don't reccomend intels at the moment)
  9. yea absolutely, you probably don't even need a 750W PSU for that combo
  10. Heyy It will do just fine for your basic needs, but if you are using it for gaming, I think there are better ones
  11. There's one thing you can do with amazon, if you "buy" amazon prime, you can have free shipping and even discounts. By "buy" I mean, experiment the 30 day trial they give for amazon prime just to buy the stuff you need and you get free shipping, that's what I am going to do in a couple of days haha
  12. Wow that sucks! It's higher than mine, I am going to buy it for around 80$ haha Take in consideration that the red one is actually cheaper than the black one ( by a lot, I don't know why)
  13. By the way, I'm in the same situation as you, I'm also building a budget build, the only part is that I only have 700$ for the components haha I've been doing A LOT of research, and i've come to the conclusion that this build might be the best you can get for this price, you can take some ideas of it or even copy it! Try to see the retail price for these components on Vietnam https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ooof.u/saved/gbfDcf Good luck Extra notes: the ryzen 5 1600 there is actually the ryzen 5 1600 AF; I'm thinking on chaning the psu to the 450w or 500w variant just because i'm thinking on upgrading my rig in the future
  14. Sorry for taking all your RGB out, but since you want it cheaper I need to do this haha You could switch that RAM for a G.Skill Ripjaws V one, it's cheaper and it also has a higher frequency: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mV22FT/gskill-ripjaws-v-8gb-1-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c19s-8gvrb I don't think this one is a ugly RAM stick, you can get it in red or black, but it doesn't come with RGB ;( Try to check the retail price for this one
  15. I'm not sure if you need the watercooling for the 3600, I'm pretty sure that you can buy a nice fan with half the price that can handle the heating caused by the CPU
  16. Try searching for the EVGA 1660 Super, it's cheaper than the 1660 Super Founder's Edition
  17. Heyy I didn't understand something, what does the old and new mean? Did you change the PSU? It probably was a power loss problem, I would say it might be a motherboard or a PSU issue
  18. It must be hard buddy, if I could help you, I would. Trust me. The best advice I can give you is to start saving, it doesn't have to be a lot, but maybe if you save 50 cents a day or less, you could probably already buy another one in a year (it won't be the best, it would probably suck but atleast you had one). Anyways, good luck to you and to your parents. I hope your life turns out to the best someday.
  19. Heyy I don't think it's a case of software, since the 144Hz variant is more expensive than the 75 Hz, so if they would just cap 144Hz monitors to 75 Hz and sell them at a lower price, they would lose money. You can try slowly raising the amount of Hz until you reach 144Hz, for example: Raise it to 90Hz, see if it gives any problems or instability. If it doesn't, raise it to 110, etc etc.
  20. It's actually impressive that your computer didn't start to give problems or even die, the normal lifespan of a computer should be from 4 to 8 years. Still, you can try to change the brightness and constrast just so you can hide that reflection a little, but I thinky ou should consider buying a new computer and monitor Anyways, good luck with that!
  21. is your monitor also 15 years old? If it is, it might be dying. Monitors and PCs are not supossed to live that long haha
  22. Maybe you can boot windows and shift+restart, then you have to enter uefi bios utility (I think that's how it's called xd), try that!
  23. Is your monitor a gaming monitor or a regular one?
  24. Heyy Just wanted to point out something, did you buy that RAM stick for 39€?If you did, you could had bought another one, maybe cheaper and with a higher frequency (MHz), for example: You could had bought a G.Skill Ripjaws V with 3600 MHz for around the same price (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mV22FT/gskill-ripjaws-v-8gb-1-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c19s-8gvrb) Now it doesn't matter haha, but take that in consideration in your next build or upgrade
