  1. But the thing is, the GPU is running at a low percentage ~ 2% and causing a lot of lag.
  2. So basically, in game, GTA Online, my friends' GPU usage is relatively low(1%) and it is causing high amounts of lag. I don't know how to increase GPU usage. Information: OS: Windows 10 CPU: i7-9700K GPU: GTX 1660 6GB GDDR5 RAM: 8GB 2667Mhz Resolution: 1440p 60Hz Game: GTA Online at medium settings. He recently downloaded afterburner and tweaked with the settings by increasing core clocks by 60Mhz and memory by 40Mhz. I tried going back to stock clock but to no avail. I have also went to Nvidia control panel and resetted everything while also turning off integrated graphics. However, nothing happened and the game still lags.
  3. Noctua NH-L9 is a good low profile cooler (37mm H)
  4. Am testing out audio on my old laptop sooo yeah. I am rocking a G Pro X and I'd like bass boosted.
  5. Are these equalizer settings OK? I messed with these EQ settings and found out these gave the best vocals and bass for the way that EM raps
  6. Budget (including currency): $600 USD Country: Singapore Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: On the title Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am helping a friend with a build to replace his old PC which is screwed. Main purpose is for fornite and warzone and school related stuff. Probably a Ryzen 3 3100 should do the trick along with a GTX 1650/60 super. What would be an ideal configuration. I would want to include OS, keyboard and case fans as he will be playing it on TV. He has also requested a Micro ATX / SFX / ITX Case to keep it compact.
  7. Yes. Androgen The androgen receptor (AR) is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that plays a critical role in normal prostate physiology, as well as in the development and progression of prostate cancer. In addition to the classical paradigm in which AR exerts its biological effects in the nucleus by orchestrating the expression of the androgen-regulated transcriptome, there is considerable evidence supporting a rapid, nongenomic activity mediated by membrane-associated AR. Although the genomic action of AR has been studied in depth, the molecular events governing AR transport to the plasma membrane and the downstream AR signaling cascades remain poorly understood. In this study, we report that AR membrane transport is microtubule-dependent. Disruption of the function of kinesin 5B (KIF5B), but not of kinesin C3 (KIFC3), interfered with AR membrane association and signaling. Co-immunoprecipitation and pulldown assays revealed that AR physically interacts with KIF5B and that androgen enhances this interaction. Furthermore, we show that heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) is activated by membrane-associated AR and that HSP27 plays an important role in mediating AR-mediated membrane-to-nuclear signal transduction. Together, these results indicate that AR membrane translocation is mediated by the microtubule cytoskeleton and the motor protein KIF5B. By activating HSP27, membrane-associated AR potentiates the transcriptional activity of nuclear AR. We conclude that disruption of AR membrane translocation may represent a potential strategy for targeting AR signaling therapeutically in prostate cancer. Keywords: androgen receptor, microtubule, plasma membrane, kinesin, heat shock protein (HSP), HSP27, KIF5B, prostate cancer, steroid hormone receptor, type I nuclear receptor The androgen receptor (AR),3 along with the estrogen receptor (ER), glucocorticoid receptor (GR), progesterone receptor (PR), and the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR), is a member of the Type I nuclear receptor subfamily (1, 2). AR plays an important role in the development and maintenance of the male sexual phenotype (3, 4). Similar to other steroid hormone receptors, AR is located in the cytoplasm in the absence of androgens, forming a complex with chaperones and co-chaperones such as heat shock proteins and immunophilins (5). Upon androgen binding, AR undergoes conformational changes and translocates to the nucleus, where it binds to the androgen response elements (AREs) as a homodimer; activates the expression of AR target genes; and induces cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival (6, 7). This mode of action is the classical AR signaling pathway, also known as the genomic action. In addition to the classical pathway, many observations suggest androgens, as well as some other steroid hormones, can affect cellular processes in a nongenomic fashion (8). Cinar et al. found that within minutes of androgen stimulation, AR is localized to the membrane lipid rafts microdomain, interacts with AKT, and activates AKT signaling (9). Pedram et al. showed palmitoylation of a conserved motif in the ligand-binding domain is critical for membrane localization of estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and AR (10). Additionally, studies have shown AR interacts with caveolin-1 (Cav-1), a major component of the caveolae membrane structure (11, 12). Down-regulation of Cav-1 decreases AR membrane localization (11, 12). Overall, studies on membrane-associated AR are limited and very little is understood regarding the mechanisms underlying AR translocation to the plasma membrane. You are welcome
  8. Water is better. Especially pure water. It is used for industrial thermal applications and it's better than pee as it can grow bacteria and clog and reduce effectiveness

  10. https://www.pcgamer.com/best-ssd-for-gaming/ A link that may suit you.
  11. Get better RAM. IF you are gaming, you will need 3200Mhz Ryzen RAM overclock. It's easy to tell the difference between 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz when you game.
  12. Questions to consider before you blame the stock cooler. 1. Are there background processes running when you are using the CPU which is using CPU power and leaving you little for the game? 2. Is the CPU Stock cooler properly wired into the motherboard and power supply? Is it correctly mounted? 3. Is your BIOS version the latest as you prob will need the latest to enable fan speed control. Your CPU Cooler's fan RPM may be at idle speed and not max when you are playing the games. 4. Is the CPU stock cooler broken or imperfect? Do check for imperfections and if it is, get another one
  13. NVLink or SLI, I have seen NVLink on 2080 TIs NVLinking 2080 Tis will probably cost a car
  14. Is it possible to NVLink 16 2080 Tis? As NVLinking even 2 2080 Tis makes some games at extreme resolution run at only 30 FPS. (Not planning to do it but I'm just asking whether it is possible provided IF I have the motherboard to support 16 x16 PCIe GPU slots and enough CPU power.
  15. The NH-D15 has 64mm ram clearance in single fan mode, 32mm ram clearance in dual fan mode. The front fan can be moved upward, but the stock arrangement makes the cooler 165mm tall. You would have to move the fan up at least 6-7mm to clear the ballistix elite with the top fin removed (makes the ram 36.5mm tall) and would bring the total cooler height up to 170-171mm tall with both fans. (roughly 1mm clearance between fan and ram so it's not directly pressed against it).
  16. Yes. If you want to save money you can go for the 3700x and it won't matter too much in FPS
