  1. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/3-Pin-ATX-Fan-to-4_60638688500.html it looks like this but 4 pin, and the fan header connects to Mobo, and the molex connects to the molex connecter that connects to the psu. And yes it is psu>molex cable>molex to fan header>motherboard
  2. ok. The molex cable is a molex cable to fan header. So I connected the other end of the molex cable to a open case fan header. And when the system was on, I unplugged and plugged it back in, that's when my psu died. The case fan header was on the Mobo btw
  3. Also make sure you are plugging the pcie cable correctly, check your manual. This can lead to problems like yours. Check if you are plugging it to the psu the right side.
  4. What about the spare pcie cables included with the psu, most psu have spare cables.
  5. My power supply just arrived and I plugged everything (works fine), until I decided to plug the molex connector into the power supply because a video said it "could" enable pwm, so I did, when I turned it on, nothing happened, I disconnected it then plugged it back in when it was on, then the molex cable made a shock sound and the pc turned off. I turned it back on and the motherboard leds were very dim, no light on gpu (has rgb). I am just wondering if the power supply can kill my pc parts? Specs: Intel I-9 9900kf Asus Strix rtx 2080 ti Corsair Vengeance rgb pro ddr4 3200mhz Corsair rm850x 80+ Gold certified.

  7. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600. MOBO: ASRock B450M. GPU: Radeon RX 5500 XT. RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB. SSD: ADATA SU635 480GB. CASE: Zalman S2. PSU: Corsair CX550. hope this help
  8. For the pcie cables part, you have 2 options, either switch places plugging it in or use spare pcie connectors included with the power supply.
  9. Did you overclock anything by any chance. Then if that's the case, then that would be the problem and you would need to either increase voltage, or turn down the overclocks.
