  1. So I am never buying pre-built ever again. I had to this time out of necessity but never again. Ordered a custom build from ibuypower selecting what I THOUGHT was a 2080ti fe only to have it arrive and it be a msi blower version in there. UGH! Okay, immature first world rant over haha. So the cards temps are surprisingly decent with it never going above 74c on full load with 4k resolution at 70-74% fan speed. I know blower models tend to have poor thermals so I seemed to have lucked out in that department. The card works really well but the noise is so damn loud. Like nerve racking loud. I know that the card is fine, the temps are decent, and that 70-74 percent fan speed is safe but I am considering, at this point, getting an aftermarket cooler. I am just scared to death of ruining this card as i have never taken apart a graphics card let alone install a new cooling system. I don't want to do it unless there is no other option. Is there any way to manage the noise? or am I doomed to risk my new card and attempt to install an accelero? p.s I hope everyone is staying home and staying safe during this pandemic.
  2. I funnily enough only discovered the LTT youtube channel and this forum after i sent the order in! but yes in the future i will be consulting this awesome community a lot especially as i learn more about pc's
  3. I got a CORSAIR Hydro Series H150i PRO 360mm Liquid Cooling System Is that sufficient?
  4. Yea thats what im gathering. Thank you for replying
  5. yea that's what i heard. Wish i knew more about it when i ordered.
  6. Thank you for this detailed response. I wish i knew more about motherboards at the time because i definetly did want to overclock the 9900kf until i found out that i choose a pretty limited mobo. I am okay with base clocking if it means allowing me to use the mobo i got until i can save up for a better one.
  7. I got my pc custom built from Ibuypower since it will allow me to learn on it/upgrade it. I got a 8 core i9 9900kf processor and a 2080ti FE. However i'm not that knowledgeable about motherboards and I was informed after purchase by someone more knowledgeable that the Asus prime z390p might not work well with my 9900kf. I do not plan to overclock on it so i guess what I would like to know is if the z390p will be okay with the base 3.6ghz clock speed of the 9900kf and base 2080ti. Any info you can provide is much appreciated!
