Cheeseburger Apocalypse replied to Cheeseburger Apocalypse's topic in Cases and Mods
@TofuHaroto as far as i've searched around, there are front panel USB3.0 hubs but im just wondering if i can just swap the USB2.0 port on the front panel of the case to a USB3.0 female port so i can just connect it to my motherboard's frontpanel usb3.0 header -
Front panel USB2.0 to USB3.0
Cheeseburger Apocalypse replied to Cheeseburger Apocalypse's topic in Cases and Mods
@tep as i've checked on the 19-Pin USB3.0 to USB2.0 Adapter Cable, it seems that it connects to motherboard's front panel usb2.0... i want to use the motherboard's front panel usb3.0 port... -
I'm looking to buy a new case and the one i have my eyes on, has 2xUSB2.0 and 1xUSB3.0 and my motherboard has support for 2x front panel usb3.0 So is it possible to change the case's usb ports ?

I'm having an old laptop, and im not running such a resource hungry games. i7-740Q Geforce 425M 8GB RAM warface Car mechanic simulator 2018(this would be the most resource hungry game between these i guess) so i switched to 2015 version my summer car world of tanks i used to play GTA 5 on this laptop back when GTA5 first launched on medium settings... but now i cant even load GTA 5 anymore, it shuts down the moment it opens the loading screen. and it works fine as long as i do some youtube, documentation , and all other works, but as soon as i launch any game, it just suddenly shuts down... No over heating, and i disconnected the fan controller and the fans runs at full speed from the moment i turn the laptop on. and i've checked , there are no high usage on ram, cpu, gpu Any Ideas what could it be? UPDATE: i did stress tests, on RAM, CPU, GPU...no issues there, no shutdowns, no errors...it seems as the moment i open any game, it shuts down...so far it only worked on minecraft win10 edition and my summer car.

@miniboisany other way i could be getting a video out from those boards without HDMI ? of course other than buying a GPU... and if not x570, what else ? x470? or b450?

@piratemonkey thank man,i probably will, but the only concern here is whether the type C port can be used as video output or not....i couldn't find anything anywhere

128GB ram and more frequency support is what got me interested ... and since im going for NVIDIA graphics , i kinda feel i need the SLI support than crossfire....so im leaning more towards MSI x570 unify or ace (as far as i realised, the only difference is RGB)

true ... though im in a country that is a bit limited to the availability of the boards.....and for no reason i got my eyes on x570 series :))...if you can convince me to get a x470 or a b450, sure i can get the most expensive one with the price of an average x570, please do so, so i might be able to save up some money there....:))) im currently in turkey, and this is the most legit website we can check the boards available www.vatanbilgisayar.com you can have a look (use chrome so it can translate for you)

I agree, but this is a startup and im trying to future proof my setup, as i cant afford to buy a GPU yet... So i rather use an apu and later on upgrade to a better CPU

I know x470 would be okay with 3400G but I'm planning on future proofing it so later i can upgrade to a better CPU

I'm planning on building a new setup with x570boards, and for start i want to get a APU, ryzen 5 3400G... some x570 boards have HDMI, some dont....if the board i choose has no HDMI output, can i use the type C output for as a video output?? for example these 2 have HDMI MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI but these 2 don't have HDMI MSI MEG X570 ACE MSI MEG X570 UNIFY so for these 2 without HDMI port, can i use the Type C port as a video out or not??
