  1. That somewhat good to hear I suppose, what do you guys think qualifies as "soon", weeks? Months?
  2. Hi all, I am about to order my first custom loop tomorrow and I can't wait. I currently own an msi r9 390 with intentions to add a second one in the near future. My question is what are my options for full cover waterblocks with this card? Yes I have read ek's statement about previous gen amd cards being compatible but to my knowledge the msi board was custom? Thanks for any help guys.
  3. Hi everyone. So I have finally decided on what monitors I am getting for a new desk setup There are no reviews of the BenQ so I was wondering if any of you had experience with it? If I do go with the Asus basically what I am wondering is since this panel only has HDMI Inputs and I am running an r9 290x currently to get eyefinity, will adapting down from 2 of the DVI-D ports to HDMI work? So the outer monitors will be connected via a DVI-D to HDMI cable and the center one will be HDMI straight from the card. Buying tomorrow! Thanks Joel
  4. Yeah I like this solution however it is hard to find a good middle ground within the price range. To get 3x 120-144hz 24" monitors without g-sync is still too expensive which means everything I am looking at that is under $900 is 60hz and mostly TN, which means I am still having to deal with tearing so for me I would rather take the 23" IPS Panels and at least have the nice colours.
  5. I had thought about this actually, Did you do the colour adjustment in windows or was it hardware based?
  6. Yeah that was my understanding anyways, the first option includes all 1080p panels so from what I gather they will all run at 60hz and the middle monitor will still run with g-sync enabled, which should make it a bit easier on the eyes =)
  7. I currently have a gtx 980ti on order so that will be the grunt. I imagine it would power the 144hz monitor fine when playing with just that monitor (CS:GO and whatever), whereas if I am playing in surround I will just have to hope it can drive all 3 at close to the limit of 60hz Although g-sync on the middle should make it a bit more enjoyable
  8. Hi everyone, I am new to the whole triple thing and after having gone and gotten myself a racing wheel setup I have decided it is finally time. I have done some research and decided I only have a few options based on where I live (Australia) and budget (No more than $900) The option that I think will work best for me is having a really good middle monitor that is G-sync capable and 144hz (looking at the Acer Predator XB240H despite the lack of reviews ~$475), and then two lesser quality outer monitors like the Asus VE248H (~$200) or something similar. Because not all games run fantastic in surround I thought it might be worth having the 144hz main for CS:GO and the likes. I spoke to nVidia Support and they seemed to think that all of the monitors would run at 60hz and G-sync would still work fine on the middle monitor in surround so just wanted some confirmation on that aswell from the guys that know best =). Basically my question is how feasible is it to have a different middle monitor? Will the colours make me want to throw up every time I look at a different screen and are the borders tolerable? None of the screens seem to have a very slim border. The other option would be to go with 3x 23" IPS Panels which I like the idea of for the colours and extremely slim border size, it would be a little cheaper (~$250 Per Monitor) and they would all match but of course the package comes with the lower refresh rate (60hz) and response time (Usually around 5ms GTG), and if there is 1 thing I hate the most about gaming it is Tearing / V-Sync lag. Of course if anyone has a better idea that is possible within the budget and available here is Aus, I wanna hear about it!! I play only FPS and Racing / Flight Sim games with maybe the occasional 3rd person. Thanks in advance everyone! Joel
