The Gamer On Wheels's Achievements

  1. SATA is 4 pin right? I know what good specs are on paper, but as I have never taken apart or built a machine before I've never seen computer parts in person. You can only get so much information from watching Linus. It's good information, but nothing beats experience.
  2. Posted this to Reddit yesterday because of the bigger audience, but I was wondering if there's anything else I should be concerned about. Here is the link to my post for more detail. https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/l4cec9/im_trying_to_recover_pictures_off_an_old_computer/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share my family does not remember why the computer stopped working. It has been sitting on a shelf for the past five or six years. I bought that enclosure because it seemed like the best option considering we do not have a monitor for the computer anymore. Even if I could find one I do not even know if it boots up anymore. A friend of mine is coming over later this week to help me take the computer apart as I do not have fully functional hands.
  3. I am left-handed, are there any gaming mice that have side buttons on the right side of the mouse? That way I could hit them with my left thumb. I looked all over Amazon and they do not seem to exist. I know I cannot be the only one who has experienced this. My preference would be a Wired Mouse, but honestly something would be better than nothing.
  4. So I have been looking at the G14 and the g15. I have heard the g15 can have thermal problems because there is a plastic shroud covering some of the fans. the new G14 looks like a great option if it was not roughly the size of my current laptop. I am looking to replace my 23 in all in one and my 13 inch laptop. Even though I would definitely not prefer it, any suggestions if I decided to go Intel?
  5. I feel like this would work if it have a webcam. I am going to edit my original post. As a daily driver there may be times when I need a webcam.
  6. I bought them through the movies and TV app that comes with Windows 10 and on Xbox. Is there a way to watch those on Mac?
  7. In the last couple years it seems like AMD is better than Intel for a wider variety of tasks. While I do play some games on PC, it is very rare. I'm looking for a new daily driver that can edit video.
  8. I'm looking for a Windows laptop powered by AMD W/ 16 GB of RAM that can handle moderate video editing. I'm looking for something in the 15 to 17 inch range. Touch screen would be a huge plus, but not a deal-breaker. Ideally want something with the ability to do graphic intensive work for at least 4 hours on the battery at least 6hrs for office work, web browsing, and video streaming. The option of USBC charging would be fantastic for portability reasons. As a daily driver I will need a webcam. MUST WEIGH NO MORE THAN 5.5 POUNDS. full disclosure I probably would get a MacBook Pro if I did not have so many movies through Microsoft and knew for sure Dragon speech recognition software worked well on MacOS.
  9. Does Linus only have a deal with Squarespace when he says a video is sponsored by them, or is the affiliate link always a thing? I need to move the website I made off of my school's server before June.
