Did you try a clean install (using DDU) of your drivers after upgrading to Windows 11? Also would help to know what extensions you might be running on Chrome.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but what about performance/pro-level FPS headphones? Particularly the ones by AceZone.
They start at 319 Euros, which is pretty insane, so I was wondering if the performance is worth the price.
There's also this video by a CS tournament commentator/analyst (Launders):

While playing EA FC 24 and i would tab out multiple times to change songs in spotify, I encountered a problem. When I attempted to return to the game at one point, my screen turned black and the monitor's light turned orange, indicating no signal. However, upon tabbing back out, my PC returned to the Windows desktop screen, and I could see the game running smoothly in a small square, akin to what you see when you tab out of a game. Nevertheless, despite multiple attempts to tab back into the game, it remained stuck on a black screen in fullscreen mode. I encountered the same issue when trying to play Call of Duty when i just wanted to test a different game. Restarting the PC resolved the problem, and everything seemed to be functioning normally again. There were no abnormal events recorded in the event viewer to suggest any issues. I'm uncertain whether my PC is malfunctioning or if the GPU is failing. Or is it nothing to worry about at all?
Any other games/apps that do this? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? Could be as simple as reconnecting the cables on your monitor. Do you also have multiple monitors on?

I think I fixed it.
It was my DNS settings. I was using Cloudflare's DNS and Quad9, and somehow they were causing an issue. So if you're encountering something similar, check your DNS settings.

The title says it all.
I need this for a school design project where I need to provide a couple of points about "user needs."
Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated, Thanks!
Something that can not only fit nicely into the case, but is sturdy and easy to assemble. I've found that the ones that mount directly to the PCI brackets are the most finicky, so free standing ones are the best bet.
In terms of design, I'd like for my ideal GPU bracket to fit seamlessly with the case, like it's an accessory from the case or GPU manufacturer. If you look at beefy GPUs (RTX 3090s or 4090s) some manufacturers include an anti-sag bracket, especially for the higher end cards, maybe you can draw inspiration from there. Hope this helps!

I'd suspect your modem or router. Is this wifi or hardline?
Use https://fiber.google.com/speedtest/ and check your Jitter
Bumping this thread as I am still facing the issue.
I have done the following:
- Reset the links on my powerline and PC
- Ran /sfc scannow; no problems found
- Reconnected the physical Ethernet cables on my PC
Jitter is still acceptable at <5 ms, sometimes <2 ms at non-peak hours.
I should also add that this issue seemingly happened out of nowhere. A couple days ago everything was fine.

It's actually powerline. Also the link you sent doesn't work for me, but I used Cloudflare's speed test to check jitter and it's <5 ms. Should I restart my entire powerline system? Haven't tried that but it might be worth a shot.

Okay, so this is hard to explain, but just hear me out...
My PC has randomly started to feel slower/sluggish, but only doing certain tasks. Most notably, when I open Discord and Steam, these apps normally checks for updates, but this checking process seems to take way longer than what it used to be. I'm talking like from <10 seconds (if there are no updates) to >1 minute. Not a big deal, but weird.
The next thing I noticed is that Steam games take a while to start updating. This is hard to explain too, but it will just be stuck on "Updating" with no progress, then fail and claim that I have no internet connection, even when my connection is perfectly fine. I've attached the screenshot showing this in Steam below, and also a Cloudflare speed test. (Yes, my Internet speeds are slow compared to some, but it should be more than fine to play/download games)
I'm at a loss as to what might be causing this slow down. It's weird. So far, I've done the following troubleshooting steps:
- Ensured Windows is up to date (I am on Windows 11)
- Ensured GPU drivers are up to date
- Scanned my PC for viruses using ESET Internet Security (all clear)
- Ran ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew and ipconfig /flushdns
- Ran chkdsk with no errors
- Restarted my PC multiple times
- Ran CrystalDiskMark on my PC for both SSDs (all performing within spec)
So, yeah, it's weird and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this further. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Can't imagine it was easy rejecting a $100M offer
But best of luck in your new role, Linus!

If you're a student, you can get a key for free via your school or OnTheHub. (It'll be the education version)
If you have access to a Windows 7 key, then install Windows 7 and then upgrade it to Windows 10 for free by following this guide. (I think the Windows 10 installer accepts Windows 7 and 8 keys)
Windows 10 can be used for free but you will constantly have a "activate Windows" watermark.

My motherboard has 4 lights ok, when it's booting properly the light goes from cpu to dram, to vga (don't know what that is) to boot and then it starts working. Everything in my pc is working completely fine, the cpu fan is turning on, the gpu is turning on, the case fand and lights and all. The motherboard logo lights up too. But the 4 sequence lights get stuck on vga and doesn't go to boot so my pc doesn't boot. I feel like it is something with the motherboard.
Are there any beeps?
How is your monitor connected to your GPU? Is it via VGA, DP, or HDMI? Might be the way your monitor is interacting with your GPU port.

i also have team viewer as well and its a brand new pre built i have m.2 970 evo plus samsung 1tb ssd installed
Teamviewer has nothing to do with your SSD not showing up. Perhaps you will need to format your SSD.

Current picks:
- Dell XPS 13 9300
- Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (4th Generation Ryzen version)
- Razer Blade Stealth 13" 2020
- HP Spectre x360
- HP Envy x360
- Huawei Matebook Pro
By far the cheapest for me would be the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7. I can get it for ~$900 USD with Lenovo's student discount but it would take 2 months to ship as it's back-ordered.
If anyone can weigh in, let me know! Else, I'm likely going to wait 2 months for the Lenovo.

it starts making a noise like it's hitting something, and if it gets too high, the fan shuts down
There might be something stuck in your fans. Use an air duster to try and blow it out before tearing your GPU apart.
-
When you power it on, does it beep or do the fans come on too, or does it not power on at all?
It might be your RAM or CPU not being seated properly on the motherboard.

Not taking any sides here but Apple do have a monopoly on Apple devices. You cannot side-load software on an iOS phone, unlike with Android. Not to mention that Apple also holds a ~30% market share in smartphones.

It can take up to 24 hours for DNS records to update. When did you start doing this?
What was/is your major and what desktop/laptop do you daily drive?
