  1. Don't know what is your budget bu i'm running this at the moment and it is great with Trunas Scale: Motherboard: Asrock X570M Pro4 Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 2x Kingston Server Premier, DDR4, 16 GB, 2666 MHz, CL19 (KSM26ED8/16HD) PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-750 Storage: – System: 2x Crucial MX500 250GB [mirror] – HDD: 5x WD Red Plus 6 TB (WD60EFZX) [RAIDZ-2] GPU (can be anything this was the cheapest when i was building server): Nvidia Quadro P400 RAM is bit expensive but you get ECC that ZFS likes. As for hartdrives WD RED Plus are good choice. If you have Gigabit ports on the router switch than speeds of file transfer will be ok. You will be more limited on the hard drives configuration / read speed.
  2. HI All, I have unusual issue and my search of the internet didn't provide any hint of what can be the issue. I'm running TrueNAS Scale and have Portainer on it with native docker enabled. I can access Portainer GUI no problem on port 9000 when in local network but when i connect via Wireguard VPN it is the only port/service i cant access. I can access all the other containers i have on different ports for the same host not problem via VPN but not portainer. I've tested changing portainer port to different one but still no go. I think there must be something somewhere that is controlling what subnets/addreses can access portainer container but i can't find any information about it on the internet. Summary: Everything is working correctly and is accessible from LAN, over VPN everything except Portainer gui at port 9000. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
  3. Depending on your monitor, resolution and refresh rate this processor might bottleneck a higher end card. You can read about it here: https://www.tomshardware.com/features/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ampere-cpu-scaling-benchmarks Check graphs for i3 10100 as it will be more or less the same as your i7 6700K I would watch those videos in your place before making decision: This because your motherboard is PCIe 3: If you don't want to change CPU and Mobo soon than get something lower end and when you decide upgrade whole system.
  4. Do you know the model of m.2 to sata adapter they use in the video?
  5. Do you have speaker connected to (SPK_PLED1) and hear beeps when you power on the PC?
  6. Might be if discord needs 32bit. Just try reinstalling discord, it should install java version it needs. You should be able to have 32 and 64 bit java installed on the system.
  7. 78 on CPU in bios is definitely to high. Don't know if 2700 came with stock cooler but if you have it try that one to check if the issue is not with your aio. Also shouldn't the CPU cooler be set to PWM and not DC? Just asking as I don't have AIO.
  8. If it crashes on occt than its probably hardware or bios settings issue as it's not limited just to games anymore. Try loading default settings in bios and test than. If occt will still crush than it would be good if you can put your gpu, cpu and ram in another motherboard for test.
  9. If you have another drive or nas copy all your important data and try do a format on that drive (remove all partitions and create them back). If that will not help than maybe it's still on warranty.
  10. Have you tried Magician Software from samsung and use it to "check" the drive? Maybe it will show some more info. And it has an option for Diagnostic Scan:
  11. Looks like your issue is quite unique. Can you try running stress test with OCCT and check if that will not show any issues after about 30 - 60 minutes. Also if you have your game files on HDD can you reinstall one of those games to NVME and than check again to exclude issue with HDD?
  12. Did you forget the password or bought the laptop with a password? If you bought it like that contact the seller.
  13. Can you check what version of BIOS/Uefi you have on your motherboard at the moment (best would be equal or abowe 7C95v20) and check temperatures in bios of your CPU.
  14. If you could put picture of your PC that might help but if you see shutdown due to temp it looks like the contact with coldplate of your cooler is not good, maybe you screwed one/two screws to tight on one side before screwing the others and contact is incorrect due to that. If not try moving it how it was before and see the temps.
  15. If it's at F41 maybe try to update it to never one as F41 was fist one with AGESA 1.0.0.3 and maybe this is the issue (F40 is on AGESA 1.0.0.2). Maybe try F50 and see. If not just move the CPU from your PC as this would tell you also if it is MB issue or CPU. If it turns out to be MB than you can try to update BIOS anyway to see if it will solve the issue.
