You CAN do more just have to ask security to unblock ports and power up the idle/spare/obsolete servers -

Yeah I didn’t loose any thing to my knowledge even though I didn’t unplug but do have a 2x surge protector circuit breakers. And all electronics are on Anker or Belkin (Mostly belkin at that time) surge protectors or APC UPS’s (or cyber power as well at that time) -

Here in Nashville My area in particular is fed by 2 Substaions and will switch if one goes out it’s Funny as i can tell which one im running off of by voltage alone the MAIN substation i get 124-125v the SECONDARY substation i get between 116-119V incoming. I have lost power for all of 5-10 minutes over the last 3 years except the one time the transformer outside my neighborhood went up in smoke its funny how they dont like lightning… oh and the 1 hr scheduled outage that was scheduled for 6 but only took 1 hr to replace a transformer outside of my unit but i don't count that as they scheduled it 30 days ahead of time. -

Well cry me a river over the 12vhpwr. That’s the reason I’ve stayed away from the 4000 series till they get this shit straightened out. I made the same mistake twice(thrice) bought 2x 660P 2TB and a 1TB when they first came out. I ran windows on the 2TB for all of three weeks before it got replaced back to the OEM 1TB 1 sat in storage for a while then I killed a Samsung pm980 1tb on my camera server so what I’m trying to see if I can kill it it’s in my G5 SE, 5505 which I don’t use for folding because I blew up the motherboard on it twice folding on it it strictly my camera server and record 24, seven, 365. It’s currently at ~360 TB written. And 90% health has 6 bad/reallocated sectors. Which isn’t too bad for a qlc drive. The other lives in my Linux laptop as a secondary drive from my bc711. I normally use it as a data recovery drive for when I pull data from hfs+ hdds that are so corrupted they crash Mac’s just by plugging them in. But yet Linux can read them normally fine and normally they loose 3-4 corrupt files. (Yes I have some people I do work for that do not believe in ejecting on a Mac) so about once a year, they bring me their external hard drive (now Samsung t7 ssds1-4tb based on the size and what was in use) because it stopped working properly. and I recover the files magically. then format the drive and copy the files back. Assuming windows and a SSD smart diagnostics is happy. I mostly own dell oem ssds followed by retail western digital/sandisk ssds followed by 2x2tb intels and had 1x1tb 660p but sold it to a friend that needed a 1tb to use as a backup drive embedded in their xps15 (I don’t and she doesn’t trust the Samsung 512GB PM991 30mm SSD they have) I do own one Seagate NVME SSD.

Circuit breakers never fail prematurely…i think one of the reasons the lady that owned my condo before me sold it was the upstairs I couldn’t even run my TV and computer without tripping the 15a breaker my father and i had replaced all the outlets and switches as most of the switches where still mercury based…noting was wrong with the outlets replaced ALL the breakers after discovered that and boom i can now pull 15 amp happily. Yes most of the breakers were from 1970s when my place was built. (One of my neighbors back in the day warned me electricians where over ALL the time and she complained about those issues) Luckily i got some $$ off as i wanted the switches and outlets replaced or 1k off…she got quotes and said you can have the 1k off lol) i spent ~800 on switches outlets and circuit breakers back in 2014 -
