    Sorry I meant mother board. The cpu will not boot up at 3.0 ghz or above. Could a bios update help. It seems if it is a hardware issue then I am stuck with it for a while as I bought all parts recently

    I had to downclock my system that is a 3600 in a b450 max with the bios it came with to stop it from bootlooping. Is this a chip problem or a cpu problem. Side note in the past I had to down clock my ram to 3000 to run

    I spent about 2 hours troubleshooting. My ryzen 3600 had to be downclocked to 3.4 ghzTo stop boot looping. I also turned off boost for cpu. Is this a chip problem or A motherboard problem

      @Jamesjr How hot? and is that max clock recorded from CPU benchmark?

      ItI updated my bios and the max clock is 2.7

      If it goes higher it loops. It’s fine for what I do on the pc but would like what I paid for.temps are high as it is stock cooler.
