  1. I had blue, brown and red switches. I liked blue the best. I have also used G710 blue and it was quite nice. Now replaced that with Ducky legend cherry MX blue with Vortex White Doubleshot PBT Keycaps http://www.amazon.com/Vortex-White-Doubleshot-Keycaps-blue-infill/dp/B00XA71BQC
  2. Just my 2 cents: Electrical Engineering is vastly different from your interest in "Computer tinkering". Not a single course you take under EE will have anything related to that effect. You are better off with Microsoft or CompTIA certification. But if you are really interested in computer architecture, Microprocessor architecture (Not design.. it is under Semiconductor design which belongs to EE), should go for Computer engineering, Not EE. I have BS in Electrical Engineering majoring in Power Electronics and Minoring in Engineering Mathematics. I also did my MS in EE majoring in 2D electronics (MoSE2), Semiconductor architecture design and nano electronics. I have a mixed bag of a career, I worked in IT HelpDesk in my early years, later in System Administration, and now as VoIP engineer (Unified Communication) What I am trying to say is, you never know where you are going to end up with your career no matter what you study. Also the 1st year of college will be a life changing experience for you, you will find yourself lost if you are not extremely dedicated in studying especially in engineering. My cousin tried to follow my lead and took EE at the same college in U.S. He was about to pull his hear out just after his first semester. He immediately changed his major to IT. Do tons of research before you choose a major. Study the prerequisite's. You will never catch up if you don't know this stuff before hand. Go to the university and speak with the students. Learn about the programs and find out if that university is really reputable for that specific program. Learn about professors there and how do they grade... it is very important and it helped me lot.

  5. Should I upgrade from my Sapphire R9 290x crossfire to EVGA GTX 980Ti 6GB Superclocked? I saw this hardwarecanucks video:- and got hyped! The crossfire setup is producing a lot of heat in my room and some time it gets pretty uncomfortable. Bought a vornado 660 but it makes the matter worse as it is a air ciculator and it circulates that warm air all around the room rather then dissipating it, one of the card has fan(not coil) wine issue under load. And also there is this continuous AMD crossfire optimization and driver issues with different game developers If I upgrade, will I get a performance boost over my current setup? Any existing benchmarks? I game at 1440p IPS.
  6. Yep a noobie, well I have used Sony a3000 though... There is no deal for d7200 for that low
  7. Nikon D7100 Digital SLR Body w/18-105mm kit option is for $699.00 on massdrop. Worth it? Or should I wait for some black Friday/ cyber Monday deals? $976.00 on amazon :- http://www.amazon.com/DX-Format-Digital-18-105mm-Pixi-Basic-Accessory/dp/B00P6PJ0UU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1437080141&sr=8-6&keywords=nikon+7100
  8. I have returned two items Hydro Flask 40 Oz and 64 Oz At work, going through all the so called "Deals"... such a let down... Check the price history before buying from amazon from this site: https://thetracktor.com/
  9. Be weary of the warehouse deals. Some manufacturers are not honoring their product warranty if it is bought form amazon warehouse deals. Look what RHA sent me for my RHA 750i warranty Hi Manzir, Thanks for your email. Unfortunately Warehouse deals is not an authorised retailer of RHA, and our warranty is only valid for items purchased from authorised retailers. We operate an extended three year warranty that begins on the date of purchase of brand new, unused products by the first end user, from an authorised retailer. Please see our website for full Terms and Conditions, as well as a list of authorised retailers. I'm very sorry I'm unable to be of more assistance on this occasion. http://bit.ly/10SCVjN Kind regards, Callum Customer Care Advisor RHA
  10. I have prime and its worth it. And also if you are a student you get 50% off . So its only $49/year. So just about $4.084/month. I have used the same day shipping several times. It is great.
  11. Try vornado 733 or 660 air circulators, look it up. Expensive but absolute best.
  12. Since your top end of the budget is $450.00, you can do much better then M50x, I have one that's why I am recommending something else. I would suggest between Fidelio X2, Beyerdynamic DT 990 or AKG K712 Pro + mod mic (if you want too) Also I am guessing you are new in Audiophile arena (apologize if I am wrong). I wouldn't recommend splashing that much for your first audiophile grade gear. If you change your mind on the budget get a Sennheiser HD 598 or ATH M50X (some audio gurus might say its quite over hyped, none the less good reference headphones - if not M50x then go for AKG K7XX Massdrop Limited Edition). Learn about your taste, what you really like... use it for a year or two then go for some more advanced gear.
  13. I bought ATH ADG1 for $119.99 few days ago !!! Superb deal. http://www.focuscamera.com/audio-technica-ath-adg1-open-air-high-fidelity-gaming-headset.html It is back to 199.00, but wait for it to fall back. When it first came out it was around $350.00 ATH ADG1 has also fixed certain issues with previous ath ad900x
