  1. Hey guys I found a deal which makes the MSI cheaper by 50 dollars. So is it better option? I'm really confused. All this marketing BS makes harder to choose. Previously I was looking at a rebranded Samsung VA panel for cheap, but found a lot of feedback of quality issues after months of use. So for long term investment, which one of these two ips panels do you recommend?
  2. Problem is the prices delivering to my location (SG), 970 evo plus is twice the price. I checked on multiple websites and shopping apps. Local shop prices are much worse.
  3. I am searching for a 24in ips 144hz monitor and have come across this two new monitors. I cannot find reviews of this monitors on youtube and websites other than "Good item fast delivery". There prices are almost exactly the same (+1 dollar difference based on shops that deliver to my area). Here are the two monitors: MSI OPTIX G241 https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-G241 ACER Nitro VG252Q P https://store.acer.com/en-sg/nitro-vg252q-p Any thoughts? specs are almost the same with: -MSI with sRGB 128%, ACWE 99% -MSI with 95% DCI P3, ACER N/A -both 1000:1 contrast -both 100000000 -Freesync Gsync compatible Acer has just two advantages that I've seen: -Acer with 400nits compared to MSI 250nits -Acer with HDR400. MSI has better srgb coverage. Damn it's a hard choice. I want to make this as a long term investment. Though, I can no longer increase my budget. I should mention that I do light photo and video editing, so TN panels are out. 24 inches is the max size my table can accomodate due to bars on the sides, it's more like a shelf so I cannot take those bars out. Table change not possible and out of budget. 24 is also the best size for the monitor viewing distance that I have. Thanks!
  4. If the same price or almost the same price, about $5-10 difference, Corsair MP510 2tb or Seagate Firecuda 510 2tb? I've ruled out other drives and brands based on pricing and my budget, claiming warranty etc. Seagate seems to be faster. But does it translate to real world? Which is more durable?
  5. I got a moderator reply to post it here so the LTT can notice it. The thread was closed. Edit: Anyway, to answer your comment on that post, I am not talking about bad reviews of products, like trashing it and only mention bad qualities. For example the hdr issue in samsung, it's been their for a long time and they still haven't fixed it yet. Samsung phones have a lot of good qualities. Just some things need to be improved especially if they put it in their advertisement.
  6. Too many LTT channels? Why not add one more Something like LTT complaints channel. A channel about bad products and complaints. Does not have to cover all problems but something that affects most people. Like the horrendous playback of hdr content on samsung phones. Seriously, they advertise their phones as hdr and they don't fix it. Reaching out to companies about their products is really hard. You send an email/message then they reply with "thank you for reaching out to us. We have sent this to our developers." And then never hear from then again. Even after a year, the problem is still there. YouTube tech channels have huge following and there will be a huge chance companies will listen to them.
