  1. Interesting but this software is ancient. Anyone knows anything updated?
  2. Any open source program to store and read 2FA codes from a PC? The one I know is closed source.
  3. I don't think it's is as irrelevant. What's the point of putting your toothbrush, wet and in the dark? it starts creating mold then you put it back in your mouth. I have a "designed in japan, made in china" toothrbush sanitizer and when I use it I smell a bit of ozone, is this normal? Im not sure if its a good idea to put it right away in your mouth. Maybe do it a couple hours before using the toothbrush and run it throught water? I think I have liquen planus on the tongue, for the past months i've been having these flares of some white lines, that turn red, and eventually disappear and then come back, so I need to keep things extra clean and I thought using this would help to keep the toothbrush sterilized at least once a day.
  4. It is more valuable than a trading account for many, so in that case there should be a better way than SMS. You would expect they know SMS arent safe.
  5. SMS can be hijacked. Any competent trading platform will allow you to use andOTP or any other open source software of choice for 2fa instead.
  6. Im confused because I can't see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg3Me7iDptI
  7. I don't have any of these security key devices. I just don't get why they just don't allow you to use an app.
  8. Recently Youtube is forcing people to have 2fa enabled in order to access your account starting November 1st. The problem: it only gives you the following options: -Text Message -Phone call Then in "Choose another option" I see 2 options: -Security Key -Text message or voice call This seems like a recipe for disaster. What if I lose my phone? I just want to generate the codes on andOTP so I can have an encrypted offline backup and also avoid SMS which has been proven to be unsafe. How can I do this? I can't see it on the tutorial videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg3Me7iDptI
  9. Yeah it has no windows. The vacuum Cleaner is a Miele C3, it doesn't push air as far as I know. No one has ever cleaned these ventilation ducts as far as I know. I've read that dehumidifiers that don't have compressors can't take take the humidity of bathrooms specially after showers so im not sure if that small one will do.
  10. I live on the first floor and there's like 8 floors, so this duct probably goes all the way up and has ends on every bathroom throught the building, how are you supposeed to clean all that? you may clean the proximity of your duct but the rest will be filled with crap that can end up in your bathroom. And who knows if its clothed along the way. I was reading about this and apparently buildings should have an annual review to meet standard requeriments by law but no one has ever reviewed the condition inside the ducts so it's probably filled with dust all over the building. That's why I don't even want to think about vacuum cleaning it. At least not with an air purifier running at full speed while cleaning and after someone installs the whole exhaust thing in the ceiling. But like I said the problem of the duct being giantic still stands, I can only clean as long as the vacum cleaner will go.
  11. I don't understand how the duct vent works. This is a building so I don't own an attic, it's a community one. I have no idea how to install an exhaust with a filter on the ceiling with the uv lights and so on. Can you post links of such a product? The water stored by the dehumidifier that you have to empty with a bucket is what i meant. So technically they store water until you empty it. My worry was that this water could grow mold, or even on the demuhidifier itself since it's never dry.
  12. The one I have is for toothbrushes, so i cant fit a banana there. Ideally, I want a device that can dry the toothbrush and throw UV on it. I saw this: Looks good but I see a design flaw. If I put a couple of these next to each other as seen on the thumbnail of the video, the exhaust is pushing the air to the next one which is not ideal even if technically its clear.
  13. It is an appartment so ventilation is poor. Can you post links of the UV light on the feed ducting thing? how is this UV light powered? The only hole for ventilation on the bathroom is this on the wall: It's full of dust. Since I don't want to get whatever shit lives there inside the bathroom, I can't put the vacuum cleaner because it will just push all the shit inside, so I don't know what to do. How do they clean it? I will try to find a company that can get the job done. Ideally the best would be to place the hepa filter, carbon filter and an exhaust fan? And where is the UV stuff placed, inside the duct hole? Can you recommend a dehumidificator? what im not sure about is that since these things store water, wouldn't this be a focus for mold itself?
  14. How can you confirm if the blue light is UVC or other thing?
  15. Anyone uses one? my bathroom has poor ventilation, the duct is full of dust. Im not sure what to do about it since if I put a vacuum cleaner on it I will bring in all the stuff that's inside there. So im thinking about a combo of an dehumidifier to reduce humidity which causes mold and then an air purifier to filter out mold spores or whatever. which ones should I buy? the bathroom is very small shouldn't need something super powerful I guess
  16. I have a small one for the toothbrush. I just want a bigger one, but im paranoid bigger lamp = may be unsafe if not tested by someone I can trust such as EU regulators, certainly not from China. I just can't find one. The box ideally should be mirrored inside so the laser beams hit from all angles.
  17. Does anyone know something like this but not a dodgy chinese product? https://www.amazon.com/Sanitizer-Display-Minutes-Bacteria-Tweezers/dp/B095KKQYYZ/ref=sr_1_80?dchild=1&keywords=uv+sanitizer+box&qid=1631755864&sr=8-80 Something like this but where you can fit your shoes, and ideally made in Europe and with test and certifications needed that it works and that it's safe. I already have one for the toothbrush but im not sure if it's legit. When I use it I smell a bit of ozone, is this normal? should I then wait a couple of hours? im not sure if putting the toothbrush smeeling like ozone is a good idea.
  18. I asked Levoit and it seems this is how it works. It's just a timer. However what is confusing is, unless im tripping, I think less time has passed this time since I installed a new filter and reset the timer. So I don't get it. I have cleaned it and reset the timer, i'll see how much the timer counts this time. Do you know any good air purifier with a remote control? (not wifi or bluetooth, a proper remote control)
  19. So the purifier knows the pressure needed for the air flow to be normal and it it's too high it means the filter is clothed and pressure is higher? im trying to understand the engineering to know why the red light goes on.
  20. I have this air purifier and the first filter I bought, lasted for around 6 months which is what is expect. But this time, it has latest perhaps 3 months. Why is that? There is a red light that shows up when you have to change the filter. My question is, how is it deciding when the filter has to be changed? It has no particle reader, so I wonder how is it deciding this. I have given it the same use as last time so im confused. Im going to buy new ones and use the vacuum cleaner on it weekly and count the time it lasts, but still I would like to know the mechanism of how it decides when to turn the red light on. Because what if the red light is broken and it shows too quick and im ditching filters which still work fine. As far as the air purifier, it really works. Before I used it, I used to get cooking and detergent smells from neighbours. Now I haven't had them again. However, forget about the dust not building up. Dust builds up the same, at least at speed 1, so you have to vacuum clean as usual.
  21. I can't see anything on the phone and I have to recover all my contacts which are saved on the phone memory. I can't see anything on the phone, the screen is broken. How can I recover the contacts? I have to do this before it runs out of battery. I've seen "fonedog" program but it's closed source. Can I do this with an open source software?
  22. But then I wouldn need to manually adjust the hour everytime there is a summer winter etc change which is annoying. Why can't it just work?
