  1. I'm having a very similar experience right now. Got a EVGA 2080ti ftw3, paid a hefty 21% price premium over the founders edition, and the card won't pass 1950 MHz. Memory is stable at max 400 offset. And just increasing the power limit to max cause crashes during some games. Plus I had the expectation that at least the cooler would be quiet but is the opposite of that, very annoying at 70% and a jet engine at 100%. I'm also considering just getting a founders Edition and adding a hybrid kit from EVGA. How did you fixed yours?
  2. Does anyone have another idea? Thanks in advance!
  3. Increased the voltage from 1.5 to 1.6 and no success. Changed the timings from 9 9 9 24 to 11 11 11 28 also with increased voltage (and with regular voltage) and nothing. Tried with 1333 instead of 1600 and no luck. Thanks for your answer!
  4. Tried with no success, but thanks for the input!
  5. Hey, So I've been having this struggle for the past week and was hoping to see if anyone could help me. I recently bought a new mitx motherboard for my wife's pc / plex server, the system is: 4770k, 16gb (2x8) ddr3 1600 corsair dominator, Mobo Asus H81I-Plus (used to be a z97 gamer) , Im running the OS of a SSD and have 2 storage HD I'm experiencing blue screens before loading windows 10 when both sticks are installed. If only one is installed Windows runs normally. Both sticks are recognized in the uefi, tried switching them around and both of the sticks runs perfectly when there is only one installed. I'm running the lastest bios available on the motherboard and did all windows updates when I had only one stick of memory inserted. Even booted Ubuntu with both sticks of ram on the system. I'm running out of ideas, can anyone shed a light on this situation? Thanks in advance for your help!
  6. Reality is that Nvidia has no competition right now in the high-end market and who suffers with that is the consumer... Same goes for Intel. I hope AMD have an answer for that, so we dont have to deal with 1200 dollars GPUs and 1600 dollars CPus...
  7. I'm not going for the 1080 either, 25% upgrade in best case scenario is not worth the money in my opinion. But I'm expecting to get more than that on an sli setup.
  8. Forgot to mention that I already have one 980ti. So i won't be buying 2 cards, just one.
  9. With the new prices for the 980ti coming to market ive being quite tempt with the idea of doing a SLI setup. What do you guys think, should I just wait for the release of the next "Titan / 1080ti" or go for it? Coming from someone that never had sli before, always tried to have the best single card solution. I wanna do some 4k gaming! Thanks for the opinion!
  10. Just got home and did some testings. Tried 2 different copies of Windows in 3 different USB drives on my x99 rig, failed to install because of reboots mid way thru on both SSDs the 850 Evo and the 950 pro. So I proceeded to get my old z97 rig back together using the same power supply and gpu, was able to successfully install Windows 10 on the 850 Evo and the 950pro (after a few work arounds, cause it wouldn't recognize the nvme drive from the start) So now I have to assume there is something wrong either with my new motherboard or with my new processor. More likely motherboard. I don't think I would be able to boot and get to the uefi if the processor was bad. Am I correct?
  11. I'm gonna try to reinstall my old setup when I get home. Just so I can rule out the Gpu. But I was trying to boot from the ssd without the nvme installed on the system and getting the same results. Now both my disks are wiped so I'm not able to pass windows instalation on any of them. What I wonder is why I was able to get everything working fine on the old drive with the "dirty" OS but as soon as I tried to do a clean install I stared getting the same problem.
  12. Sorry for several posts, having a bad time on mobile.
