  1. well i was more wondering about your set up and what you do. 2 55" TVs is 110" across, get 2 more and place them on top and you can have your own big screen movie theater although you would still have to deal with the TV edges.

    New monitor

a higher refresh rate is typically used for gaming. with things like watching movies or office work, it doesnt matter so much. but it never hurts to get a higher resolution and refresh rate monitor in case you want to game on it. if you are looking for no bigger than 35" and around $400, then you have 118 chocies from here and you can sort by price, panel, connections, etc. Choose A Monitor - PCPartPicker

    New monitor

ok, if you are not looking to play games like call of duty then 60hz will be fine, if you were planning on gaming then i would recommend going with at least a 120hz monitor. the AOC and BENQ are both IPS montors so they allow for more viewing angles than the others. TN (Twisted Nematic) panels: They offer fast response times and low prices, but have poor color accuracy and viewing angles. IPS (In-Plane Switching) panels: They have more accurate colors and better viewing angles, but are more expensive and slower than TN panels. VA (Vertical Alignment) panels: They have high contrast ratios and good colors, but suffer from ghosting and color shifting. OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) panels: They are the newest type of panels, with high brightness, contrast, and color gamut, but are not widely used in computer monitors yet.

ok so what is that? i looked up the prices and getting from $100 to $1000.
  5. ok so you have a 25" and a 34", what size are you looking for? looking for 1 monitor or two?

    New monitor

what is your budget for this?
  7. well you must not live in the US then because here there is a ethernet port on the back of smart TVs making them basically a computer in a TV. but 2 55" TV side by side? what are you doing that you need that much? and personally i have been looking into the LG G3 series as it seems the best to be. 4k 120hz 55" OLED. the other ones i looked up were pretty much similar stats except they were all 60hz and i have that now with my 11 year old LG TV that i bought off my ex brother in law several years ago and have been looking to upgrade.
  8. well we would need to know size(s) you want and budget. personally i would go 4k because you can always turn the resolution down if you want but you cant make a 1440p monitor do 4k.
  9. most TVs are 60hz refresh and some new ones are becoming 120. i have yet to see any specs for a tv that can do 144. well going to my local best buy sony has the best displays or rather info for the displays, they show this tv is better than this one and why. LG just tells you this model is better than this one but samsung has nothing but a QR code basically saying "here, look it up yourself, kind of disappointing. which do you think you like better the LG G3 series, the sony A95L or the samsung Q90C/Q95C
  10. well i have to thank you for making this post as you have solidified my choice in not going with samsung as my monitor replacement. now onto your issue. you could look up 'my monitors dont display full resolution" on youtube and see what kinds of videos you get.
  11. welcome. if you do move the tower and the printer to under the desk, then it will open up some room for you and you might be able to get 3 monitors there but it will be a little tight.
  12. well looking at your current set up. all you can have is the 1 monitor, not 2 or 3 with the PC being on the desk as is the printer, just not enough room to do it. if you are looking for 2-3 monitors i would first rearrange to put the computer on the floor which would open up some room but overall it depends on your budget, and what you plan on doing that requires those monitors. corsair makes some 1440 and 4k monitors that are 240hz but they are kind of pricey at $700+
  13. well first off the difference between OLED and QLED is that OLED is for TVs that will be in darker rooms with little light, the QLED is for brighter rooms with more light so the QLED will be darker than the OLED even at its highest settings, its this reason i have decided to go with the OLED myself as i am doing the same thing you are doing. you can turn the brightness down but you cant turn it up. i mean that you can turn the brightness down from its max but you cant turn it up past its max. you can check out the full specs here. LG: LG 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV OLED48A2PUA - Best Buy samsung: Samsung 50" Class Q60C QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV QN50Q60CAFXZA - Best Buy
  14. well i am kind of in the same boat as you. i have a 2070 super but currently have an i7 8700k going to ryzen 9 7950x3d. and looking for a new monitor too. honestly i would look for a 4k monitor as you can always turn down the resolution but you can not turn it up. but what is your budget for this?
  15. i am kind of having the same issues with my LG TV that i am using. i dont think its my GPU as its only 2 years old so i am thinking the TV is failing because its admittedly old.
  16. you might need to plug both into the GPU or make sure that the screens are not duplicated and are 2 monitors.
  17. why 1080p? you can always get a 1440p, 2k or 4k monitor and turn the resolution down but you cant turn it up. and 29" doesnt really exist. there are some but they are now few and far between. and what would be the budget for this?
  18. personally i am looking at the LG G3 models myself. a little more expensive but they do have a 65" and right now if you are in the US a lot of stores are doing black friday deals to drop the price several hundred dollars.
  19. if it says it in the specs that it can support it them it can, if it doesnt then you are legally entitled to a refund of the money you spent. your biggest issue is not weight but center of gravity. two monitors like that raise the center of gravity higher and it may fall forward on you. most likely not but just something to remember.
  20. that is the one i was looking at more than the C3. was having a hard time deciding because going to best buy, sony shows you which TV is better an why. LG at least has something to show you which model is better but samsung has nothing, just a QR code going "here, find out for yourself."
  21. well good thing you figured it out at least partially. if you dont mind me hijacking your topic for a minute. how is the LG C3 TV? i have been looking at a new TV to replace my current on as its my monitor too and was looking at this one and the G3 models. also you might want to try a different port for your set up. the C3 comes with 4 HDMI ports. 4ea (supports 4K 120Hz, eARC, VRR, ALLM, QMS as specified in HDMI 2.1 (4 port))
  22. i do not have this monitor so its only a suggestion for you to research but CORSAIR XENEON 27QHD240 OLED 27-Inch Gaming Monitor, 3440x1440, 240Hz, 0.03ms GtG, HDR with 1000nit Peak Brightness, 1.5M:1 Contrast Ratio, 1.07 Billion Colors
