  1. RMA is not really viable, the product is out of warranty and I'd have to send it overseas
  2. It's an Enermax Liqtech 240. And I mean, I don't know if it's failing, but my temps were super high, my i7 4790k was idling at around 60C and throttling at load, with temps reaching 100C. That's with the fan profiles on turbo and the pump at 100% all the time. Today I removed it and replaced with the stock cooler with the stock thermal paste (I was using Arctic Silver 5 on the AIO). The temps are not a lot better, but there's a change.. Now it idles at around 50C and still throttles at load, reaching 100C. But I also noticed the temps are a lot more stable. Is there something I can do about the AIO or should I just scrap it and get another cooler? And this means I'll probably go back to air cooling. The AIO is still in the case, and what really pisses me off is that I don't have a definitive answer.. It seems to be working fine, the pump light is on, I recently bought static pressure fans for it, because the stock ones failed.. Can it be clogged or something like this? if so, is there a way to fix it? Anyways, thanks in advance for the help. I'll try to stay here for a while but I'm not sure I'll be able to answer quickly since I'm going out for the night.
  3. I've been running on Arctic Silver 5 since when I built this computer a couple years ago, replacing each time I took it apart to clean. I don't know if it might have gone bad after this time, but.. is there a reason for that? I thought it might have been the spacers on the pump, so I removed those to make more pressure on the cpu, and it didn't change anything too.
  4. Sorry for the time, I had to stay a bit away from the computer. Anyways, my computer has always been hot, it used to run throttling everything until I realized I could limit the FPS to run with the GPU a bit less warm. I was going to post a thread here a while ago just asking about the CPU, which didn't use to be this hot, and up to now I didn't figure what to do with it.. I was checking with my brother to see if I could use his computer to test, but meanwhile I decided to make some space and after clearing a bit of C: (which used to have only 5-10gb, now has almost 200gb of free space) the problem is gone, I can play without crashes anymore. I'll still try to test stuff on my brother's computer, but since work appeared for me since when I first wrote, it'll have to be postponed.
  5. Hello there, Yesterday I was playing a bit of GTA game and a friend of mine asked to watch me play. I logged on skype to share screens since it's the most decent method I thought at the moment with my mediocre internet speed. I was happily playing and after a good 10-15 mins the game crashed. We did again and same thing happened. After that we tried Steam broadcast, and the same thing happened.. I thought it was because of the stream and just leave it there. A few hours later, my girlfriend came to my house and was playing overwatch in my computer, no stream. The game crashed. The computer was stuck in a black screen and I needed to do some fiddling to take it out of there. But it was the first time I saw an error message. Rendering Device Has Been Lost. I looked around to see what it meant and arrived at some threads with people talking about changing settings to turn on or off vsync and other stuff and that it was related to the driver. I tried changing settings, didn't help, uninstalled the driver I had and downloaded a new one, didn't help.. And I have no idea what I should do.. I tried some games today again since now I have some free time and got 2 errors: ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT Radeon Settings: Host Application stopped working Also, a weird one is that the light 3d part of planet coaster worked fine, but once I loaded a park it crashed.. My full pc specs are on my profile, but I'll list the most important here (at least what I think is important) CPU - Intel Core i7 4790k Motherboard - Asus Maximus VII Ranger GPU - Msi Radeon R9 290 Gaming OC Edition This may also be important, but none of the parts have ever been OC'd by me due to living in hell on earth. CPU and GPU hover at around 55C idle, cpu hits 100C with each and every task (and that's on water), GPU needs to be capped on the most intensive games not to hit 94C and shutdown the pc (with fans at 100%) I'm in need to format this computer, but wanted to wait until I get a new driver to sort my files.. I don't even know if it'll work, all I want is to play like I was able to do before that goddamn stream.. I also don't know if the GPU (or whole computer) is dying or what is happening.. Any clue?
  6. Sorry for the delay, I was traveling for christmas @WoodenMarker Well, they didn't.. The first one died around 1 year ago, with 1,5 years of age, and the second one now, with 2,5.. I plugged both into the CHA_FAN2 port in my motherboard, with an adapter that came with the cooler. The CPU_FAN (Don't know if that's the correct name since it's covered right now) port is occupied by the pump. Those are nice options but really hard to find around here.. After contacting a website though they showed me a Cooler Master Masterfan 120 AP (that for some reason was hidden in a different category from the other fans), and I'll probably go with it, seems pretty decent, and it's Cooler Master after all.
  7. I'd surely buy those, but I didn't find them anywhere here in brazil, and importing them would probably make them cost like 4 times what they're worth due to shipping and taxes.. Also, I thought close to 3 was already fine, that's what I found when I was searching for static pressure fans.. I'll try to find info on the stock fans that came with the radiator.
  8. Even for radiator usage? I have some other fans laying around, but they seem so weak to use with it..
  9. First of all, when I say generic I mean that the company is unheard of.. At least for me. Hello people, I have an Enermax Liqtech 240, and both of its fans are dead. When the first one died I asked for help here because the computer was making a weird noise and tbh I never heard a failing fan before the occasion. I changed it for a random fan I had here and noticed the difference in air volume being pushed to the other side of the radiator. So now that the second fan is also dying, I figured it's better to change them for something decent. Since I never searched for fans before, I googled some different ones and tried to figure out what I should be looking for, and apparently it's.. well, the static pressure coefficient. So, I happen to live in a place in which people apparently don't know what static pressure fans are.. There's a lot of computer hardware shops nearby but I went over to them and all I found were fans with a static pressure varying between 0,05 to 0,4 and one with 1 mm-H2O. The one rated 1 was a Corsair quiet something fan, but it was ridiculously expensive, at BRL 100 per fan (around USD 30), which might be a fair price, but it's a lot more than I'm confortable with. Then I went into a website that sells these things online, and after a lot of scavenging, I found this: It looks horrible, but that doesn't matter, it's the fan with the highest static pressure coefficient I've found, at 2,63 mm-H2O, and it's priced a bit more decently at BRL 50. The other specs listed in the website are: (and if anyone is interested in the website itself: http://www.kabum.com.br/produto/54240/cooler-fan-sharkoon-shark-blades-120mm-vermelho/?tag=sharkoon vermelho ) So, does this seem decent? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for the help, and happy holidays
  10. Sorry for the time taken to answer, i let my brother take care of the thread and he forgot about it.. Anyways he fixed the problem, I asked him how he did it and he just told me he tried reinstalling a bunch of stuff until it suddenly worked again.. So yeah.. I have no idea.. Sorry for bothering you guys about this ..
  11. It was working normally before, all we did was change the drivers, I don't know how the port nor the cable could be damaged in the process, but I'll investigate. Also, the internet notification tray icon shows that there's a cable connected, it just can't connect.
  12. sorry for not being specific. ethernet.
  13. Hey, My brother recently upgraded to windows 10, and he had internet working previously. But he encountered some memory leaking and wanted me to help him figure it out. We tried the regedit method with no success, and then I told him to try to upgrade the drivers, and see how it worked.. Well.. It went well, but after upgrading the LAN drivers now he can't connect to the internet.. I think it had to do with him using a different driver than the provided by the website now.. Anyways, his Motherboard is a Gigabyte H-97 gaming 3, we went on the website and downloaded the only option in the LAN category for Windows 10 64-bit, which was the " Bigfoot LAN driver", which installs a Killer e2200 driver. We tried to install it on top of what existed, and it asked us to remove a conflicting driver, which was a Qualcomm Atheros, don't know which one because I was a little careless with it. Anyways, then we installed the Killer e2200 driver and we can't get internet, I have no idea what to do. If any of you guys can light us a path I would greatly appreciate. In case you need, here are the full PC specs: CPU: Intel i5 4400 Mobo: Gigabyte H-97 Gaming 3 GPU: EVGA GTX 970 RAM: 4x4 GB Kingston HyperX blu 1600mhz SSD: Kingston HyperX 120GB HDD: Yes, no idea what it is, but it's around 500GB Power Suppy: A old OCZ he had for his old computer Thanks in advance.
  14. Yup, it was one of the fans, thank you guys a lot, at least I got one spare fan here to work while I try to get some better quality ones wish I could like all of the posts, but unfortunately I can't lol, but still, thanks a lot Also I'll take the chance to clean the pc more deeply than I usually do :v edit: stupid me, I actually can like the posts k
  15. I had stopped both of them when the noise was happening and it kept going but will check again as soon as it comes back.. Also I tested with a cpu intensive task and got nothing
