    I'm building a retro build with an athlon 64, I recently put in a sata drive, and it won't detect it. This board is a K8m800-mlvf, any help would be appreciated.

    Those were proprietary connectors for video output. I forget the name of it. (seems most people forget the name too)

    From what I know, on most laptops you can remove the keyboard, so you could replace it if you want. Or you could probably be fine with an external keyboard, I have removed the keyboard on an old laptop completely and it worked just fine, but your mileage may vary.

    I've used easyBCD to fix this kind of issue. It's usually really easy to do.

    Ok, so I believe that it's probably the BIOS, but I remember I had an issue like that before and i had to remove and place the RAM back into their slots. I doubt this is the issue but it's worth a try.
