  1. any beep code or post code? There can be alot of things wrong here, might also be that when you enter the bios it configs on a previous setting that didn't work before, maybe try setting to defaults before saving and then try restarting.
  2. This is an example of the effort I've put in for the last week so far. I dont run the CPU because F@H tends to... run it hot. But the project I'm working on is part of the Covid-19 as stated below, this is nothing but a small part but it is a piece of a much larger puzzle to stop the spread of Covid-19. It is your choice to help or not, but do not expect some kind of reward out of it, it is rather something you get involved into when you want to do something for the greater good when there is nothing else to do in times like these... FYI im under Quarantine for the next 10 days...
  3. The more the better, how FAH (folding at home) works is it brings a piece of a puzzle for your computer to solve, don't think of it as a way to win something or gain a prize, but rather to find cures for diseases that you, me, or everyone else here can catch in the possible future. Team numbers for FAH when it comes to LTT is 223518, there is even a whole section for FAH dedicated on the forums. You will also need a pass key for your account to join a team so you will need an email address to receive a key. 75hz or 144hz

Just a recommendation, I wouldn't try a 1080p panel on a 27 inch monitor, sure it works at 21 inches, but at 27 inches the pixels get quite big, and you will start to notice distortion in the image quality. Fuzzy text, blur objects, and so on... its not a good experience, even at 25 inches.
  5. yep. and the socket can probably handle a 8th gen i7 or even a 9th gen, as the CPU market will continue to drop in price due to AMD's ass kicking to Intel's stocks.

eh. its a nice panel, little spendy for what it is, 24 inch at 1080 is going to look a little fuzzy if you are sitting about 2 or 3 feet away from your monitor. Currently I'm using a AOC C27G1 27" that is a VA panel
  7. i5 8700k isn't bad, 6 core unit with a boost clock of 4.3GHz. Though that Ryzen 5 3600 screams for its price.
  8. That mostly depends on the CPU, if it is Intel, should be fine however 3200 also works for SOME intel CPU's, if Ryzen 3rd gen, you've bottle necked your CPU as it can run 3600 stable.
  9. I mean ye if your budget is 300 bucks sure, though the 2060 is an ALRIGHT card, nothing to really brag about, if anything I still recommend the 2070 and the 2070S over it, just because of the extra performance gains you get.
  10. Sounds like a problem with the GPU rather than the fan config. The 5700XT had some thermal problems in the past, maybe using some thin plastic spacers between the back bracket and the PCB to tighten the heatsink onto the die, though don't over tighten as it you can chip or crack the die.

144Hz As I do agree with others that you should check your hardware if you can reach the requirements of 144hz, it is also an investment in the future if you do plan to upgrade parts inside your computer as people are already looking at 240Hz monitors already.
  12. RTX 2070 Super I guess, the cost is going to be close and it is of similar performance, though if you wana save a little bit more the 5700 XT is better for price per performance.
  13. exactly, find it odd that two cards have the SAME damage. Trust me when I say this, Gamers, care about their stuff, if this was owned by a gamer, this card would be in better shape, almost new even when pulled from the PC.
  14. Recommend upgrading that PSU first. From what I can tell, it is at most a 275 watt. I know that this is for the 7000 series, but the specs are basically the same, means that the hardware is as well. 15. Sounds like a Dead SSD to me, CPU and the drive are looking for data that isn't there, looks to have burned the drive.
  16. Sometimes these external housings use PCIE rather than Sata3, I would recommend checking compatibility. I've personally experienced this as I had a M.2 external housing and tried the same thing, but nothing.
  17. I would wait for the Ryzen 4000 series laptops to come out, for two reasons. One, it would drop the price on other laptops. And two, these new Ryzen 4000 series laptops might fall in that price point. This on the otherhand is on sale and asus makes good products. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-IPS-Type-R7-3750H-GeForce-TUF505DU-EB74/dp/B07QQB6DC1?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
  18. Yes, you can do this, however finding fittings and conversion kits would be difficult as cars are built to hold much larger hoses, and most cars now days use aluminum rads, you would be better off with a AC cooler radiator out of crashed car. Also if you are going to do this, you'll destroy your copper blocks on the CPU and anything else that is copper if using aluminum rads, unless you use anti corrosive coolant. Stick with custom loop kits with everything copper, it would cost less than using car parts.
  19. That is true, it is hard to find a unique build for anything today. Only true way to do that now, is to paint and or have a custom loop for cooling.
  20. I've been building computers for awhile, but not quite as nice as this. I've used Linus' advice in cable management and was impressed with the results. Build Specs: AMD Ryzen 3 3700X clocked at 4.0GHz MSI X570 Pro Gaming Carbon Wifi Nvidia Gigabyte GTX 1080 OC edition Gskill Trident Z Neo 32gb (2x16gb) kit clocked at 3600MHz 4 Cooler Master ARGB 120R fans 2 Corsair white led 140mm fans NZXT kraken-m22 PSU Corsair AX 760i (80 PLUS PLATINUM Rating) 2 x 1TB Western Digital REDS 2 x 2TB Seagate Barracuda 1 x 250gb Samsung 760 Evo Sata Case made by Cooler Master - NR600. For an inexpensive case, that looks great and functions fantastic, I would recommend this case to anyone. It is a mid tower design that can fit up to 4 3.5 inch drives, and 5 2.5 inch SSD's 3 on the shroud and 2 behind the board. Ran Prime 95 on the computer for about an hour, no faults or crashes, build is stable. I would clock the processor higher, but not with a single 120mm NZXT AIO. The max temps seen on this unit when running Prime 95 was 80C (176F) according to HWMonitor.
