davidthemurrican got a reaction from Middcore in the "quality" budget x570
I like many others chose to go to Ryzen and most with the ability go with the x570 class of motherboards for its features and longevity so in researching I found what I thought to be a good product and that is the ASUS tuf gaming plus x570 and all the reviews said it was a good budget x570 so I believed them and bought it what ensued was not worth my money so to give some context I had a z270 prime-ar and it had its problems no doubt but I thought well its a new generation they probably have ironed out the kinks of the old stuff and they did but they released new problems and then some so lets get into the details of why I loathe this motherboard
you cant overclock in the bios when all Ryzen's are unlocked its claim of dual usb 3.1 just means that the singe usb port can handle 2 usb ports running off of it (plus no type c header) its 8 sata ports will never be used in a gaming oriented system maybe a content creator but not a gamer its bios is basically the same from the z270 same font same background and same layout to control the rgb and fans you need ai suite 3 and Armory crate custom effects are by aura creator its hard to figure out and all of the effects are stuck on a five and a half minute timer so when it goes out all of your rgb goes off then turns back on why they did that i dont understand and there is nothing to have it automatically just repeat you have to use the timer system so you have to go to the base rgb software and try to find something that works  if you bump you desk with it on it your computer will restart for some reason no joke never had this problem until I used this motherboard  its chipset cooling fan is directly behind my graphics card which means that im heat soaking my chipset  it has a ps2 legacy port on a $170 motherboard why that is wasted money and and io it has a 8+4for CPU power why you would do that on a $170 motherboard when all Ryzen's can be powered by a single 8 pin there is probably more but these are all the one that make me loathe this motherboard and I cant wait to replace it with a motherboard that isn't relying on positive first look reviews to say its good I wouldn't recommend this motherboard there is better options out there and its getting replaced as soon as I can possibly replace it that's my two cents on the ASUS tuf x570 gaming plus if you own this motherboard and have feedback for me or the motherboard I would love to know what you think of this motherboard
