  1. For those who might care: FMG I finally figured it out. /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ had corrupt files (I didn't do it - musta been a computer thing - j/k) I deleted the corrupt files, did an apt-update and reinstalled cups. All better now.
  2. Here you go. Of course you need another on or two people to help fit, seal, and check after donning. Also, it should probably be use only once - no longer than 30 hrs at a time Plus you should have a clean room with two sealed sides. First for discarding soiled old suit and shower, Second for additional shower and heated air drying system. OF course to ensure 99.999% protection the entire process must start and end in a serial environment. So Suits, technicians, bubble to live in - No Worries! 3. This is the really wired part. I can start CUPS, see it listening on 127.0.0.1:631. (netstat) But browser(s) all say connection refused. (But I can connect via ssh) I did remove CUPS using apt-get remove --purge. Then installed. add-apt-repository ppa:hplip-isv/ppa > apt-get update > apt-get install hplip with no errors. The HPLIP package includes the latest CUPS version. Still nothing. There are no proxy settings in any of the browsers I used. Logs still say CUPS SCHEDULER failed to start (on reboot) As far as I can tell I can manually start all the CUPS Services, but still no connection. (except seeing the port listening via netstat and connecting via ssh) My only thought is that apt-get remove --purge didn't get everything. I think I know all file names and locations for CUPS - obviously I don't
  4. Hello Forum: I have to be missing something simple. I'm running Debian 9.x.x and can do anything but PRINT! I was downloading ppd, driver files for my HP Officejet 3830 so I could use the scanner. Somehow I really screwed Cups. Unit cups.service has failed on startup. I can start the service and connect via ssh, but when I try to connect (other than ssh) I get service not available. So now I'm in fuckit mode. I want to delete everything related to cups and start over. Any ideas how to remove everything that is CUPS? I do have backups so I can format and reinstall, but that would take a day or so to reinstall and re configure
  5. Warning! Some AMD X470 chipset motherboards (MSI) may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse Core (Ryzen) CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. Note:The MSI X470 GAMING PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Thermaltake Berlin 630 W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.
